Yes, it does. When I moved out of WA to HostGator, I’ve to start with a new website. I have my backups as well so, it’s not that difficult to restore everything though.
However, it was different when I moved back to WA. Nothing got wiped out. I contacted WA support before I changed the DNS and they asked for my FTP details. They moved my site within a few hours and everything was still intact, nothing changed.
