Disheartened and disappointed.

Before I get started, I am aware of WA blogging policies but this is a negative experience that I've encountered at WA - a place you rarely hear about such things and as such it's something to be wary of.

I also made this a success post so as many people as possible can read it.

Apologies for the click bait.

So I began a support ticket almost a month ago to reclaim my website after it mysteriously disappeared when I redirected my nameservers back from cloudflare (a cdn) to WA.

This was because my website profile was deleted (of which I knew would be happening) when Kyle and Carson deleted all website profiles that weren't hosted at WA.

I then went to make a new profile and hey presto my website had been completely deleted.

I then thought it would just be a matter of restoring my backup and continuing with my day but instead I foolishly decided to raise a support ticket and see if they could help me.

FYI, support had been a very responsive and excellent service until this incident.

So I raised a ticket and we conversed about the issue for a while and they told me they would get back to me.

After about 2 and a half weeks I wrote back quite irritated as I hadn't received any word of what was happening and no progress had been visibly made.

I still haven't received any word and recently I wrote an email to Kyle who likewise I have not heard a response.

So basically I'm just disappointed. I love the community and information here at WA but in terms of this service I'm thoroughly disappointed. I was very annoyed and would have been absolutely pissed if my website had been gaining copious amounts of traffic but now I'm just tired of the whole thing and hoping others haven't been treated as poorly as I have been.

To date, no actions by support have been taken and I am starting from scratch.

Good luck to you all,

Ben

Well, it turned out to be a success blog post after all.

As of today, 10/03/2016. Just after I posted this blog 23 days after initiation, support got my website back.

I have mixed feelings about my appreciation but I am thankful nonetheless.

It took a long ass time but support did come through so I can vouch for that.

Your posts about this topic have been a great help to me as I was considering using free Cloudflare CDN, but now I think I won't.

Thanks,
Ben

After a certain amount of time websites are deleted.. The same happened to me when I had to take a break from there.. and it was my mistake not taking care of things.

I had a support ticket open too .. and they did their best to be honest.

After my site was deleted Kyle spoke to me personally and he was the most amazing help.. and he also gave me a link to access all my information on the Archives...

I know it is frustrating... but I kept my spirit and have started it all again .. and will not repeat my mistakes....

WA is the best around.. and although you feel a little down .. I hope you find it deep down to keep going!

Good Luck and best wishes to you.

Chris
