How to produce fast webpage load times and an overall faster website.
You want your website to be fast.
Straight up, that is what you want.
I didn't really realise the small significance in this until it was bought to my attention but it is SO important.
Just think about it for a second. You could create the best website, best content, and be ranked no. 1 on Google but if people are clicking on your site and it takes 20 secs to load, the another 25 secs to get into a post.
They won't be sticking around.
Any you may think that 20 secs isn't a very long time but believe me, it is. Actually no just test it yourself, get a timer and time 20 secs. That is way to long to have someone waiting for something that they could just get somewhere else faster - it may not be as good as yours, but it doesn't matter, they don't care because they don't even know.
SO HOW TO GET YOUR PAGES FASTER?
I'd like to introduce you to https://gtmetrix.com/
It will test your website speeds and tell what you need to improve.
I needed to improve my image dimension specification and loading, which I fixed by Googling what needed to be done - I just installed a really easy plugin (lazy load).
I won't tell you how to fix all the problems that may arise within your website because;
1. This post would be huge.
and
2. A quick Google search can do that for you.
I just wanted to make anyone who wasn't aware of GTmetrix or the importance of fast websites, aware.
And hopefully help out.
Also, your website theme can slow it down A LOT but I understand sometimes we all need a bit of pizazz in our lives and if it comes in the form of a fancy website.
Go for it.
Done.

Absolutely agree, I've followed most of their protocol and improved my speed ranking from D to A just this past week!
