I have found a whole plethora of photos on reddit regarding my niche. Is it possible to use these images without being penalized by Google's rankings? I am not sure how to check
Most photo places online will let you know right quick if it is publishable or not. They will have a price for so many like a bundle or five. Some places will tell you that you can use them for free also. So, check out each site before using their photo. Lots of things can be copied off of sites...however, once you down load it you will find it cannot be pasted because of a tag or link embeded within. In lots of cases if they are not free they will have a logo you cannot remove. And if that is the case, no these you cannot use without problems later on. And anyway, I don't know anyone who would use one of these.
The last time i need photos I did a search on google for free photos to use, and found so many I never recorded where I got them from, just picked them like apples from a tree.

I can't answer for reddit or google. But if it's copyrighted, you have to be careful. We don't know if the person who uploaded it, his/her own image or 'borrowed' from other parties... It seems that you want to be in the safe side, I suggest you go to any stock photos, find and if you found one, purchase (won't be too expensive per image). And you can use it. That's the best solution if you don't have your own. Hope it helps.

Not sure it is a breach, but they will let you know if it is!
