Amazon has rejected me
I posted a blog on here yesterday; excited about my first sale and how excited I was to keep moving forward with this project, unfortunately I just found out that Amazon has rejected me and I am not sure I am going to continue with WA.
I would appreciate any feedback and thoughts
My website is the following http://www.fountainofwellnessandknowledge.com
Thanks

Thanks everyone for all the help. It seems as if I want things to go fast and I need to slow down. Also I need to stop taking things so personal and keep pushing forward.
I really appreciate all the feedback and I going to take down all my Amazon links and focus on building content and then I will tackle affiliate programs down the line
Kyle, just put up a good video on affiliate marking you might want to look at it. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-find-relevant-affiliate-programs
Not sure why you have been rejected by Amazon baietti. Only comment I would make is to try and work your Amazon ads (assuming you will be reinstated) into the blog as picturesc and link to them rather than those ads you have at present, your site is very nice but the Amazon ads look out of place. Just my opinion!
Jimmy thanks great advice, I am going to go ahead an take all amazon links down and focus on content that seems to be the trend with feedback, I just hope it works
I think that you got your answers for sure- sometimes life sucks...but add more content and you will be golden- good luck..!
I wouldn't quit WA just because you got rejected from Amazon. Just add more content then try again, there is lots of other affiliate programs out there you can sign up for try something else. You can always try click bank no one gets rejected there.
Thanks David, I guess I have had so many issues with affiliate programs I reached a breaking point, but after a lot of extremely nice messages I get the point, I need to focus on building out content and then work on links, I am trying to do to much and then I am taking it extremely personal, those things have to go, or my reaction at least needs to change
Amazon is not the only affiliate vendor. True, they offer a lot of products under the Amazon umbrella. Plus, there is another alternative called viglink.com. They are a 3rd party provider that includes Amazon. Actually, they offer a better commission rate than Amazon does as well. And you never deal with Amazon you deal with them.
Take James' advice (@Jaweda2k) and reapply. Perhaps add a few more posts to your site before doing so. Then, if they still don't accept you move on but never give up.
Best Regards,
Jim
I can appreciate that Amazon isn't the only vendor out there however, I had a horrible time getting other affiliates to accept me which blogged about and even wrote Kyle email about. I honestly can't decide if these challenges are worth continuing, it is extremely frustrating to constantly have to re-do your work, I just can't decide if I am being childish and I just need to re-do it, or if I am just not cut out for this....
Hey Monica,
The very fact that you made sales in just under 5 months since joining tells me that you are cut out for this. Imagine what happens when those sales increase 10 fold or 20 fold.
One method I have found to really help with getting affiliate managers to approve me is to call them. Sometimes, they reject affiliates just to see which affiliates are willing to do that. They get a lot of applications from spammers so they just want to check to make sure you are not one of those and that you will represent their company using legitimate and ethical marketing practices. I don't ever remember getting rejected when I contacted affiliate managers after the initial rejection.
The one guaranteed way to fail in this business is to give up. Before doing that, why not PM Kyle and express to him your frustrations. He is very good at helping people when they get down on themselves.
Best Regards,
Jim
THANK YOU SO MUCH JIM! Your post means a lot, I think I am feeling to much, lol, I need to not take it so personal and do exactly what you said. I love that idea about calling, I did PM Kyle and I see he is on right now so I hope he gets to me today
Amazon rejected me the first time I applied as well. Then I went back to the grindstone and worked even harder on my site. I applied again a little later and was accepted. Even then I fell into the danger zone of being rejected again as at first I was not getting any sales. Thankfully some happened before their deadline was up and I was all good again. Don't let it discourage you... use it as motivation!
Here is the thing, is this hobby is not really cheap and if I can't make a profit or have some success along the way for it to pay for itself than it is hard for me to justify continuing on; I get your point however, I will now have to re-do all my links if I set up another account with them, hence my debacle. I know this is personal choice and I am not trying to be all negative Nancy, but I am wondering if I am cut out for this at the end of the day
Of course you are cut out for this. We are all going to have moments like this in our journeys and we can either let them tear us down or use it as motivation to push forward. Remember how Kyle said if he would have quit at his down point he never would have made anything. However, he was patient and continued to work hard and look where he has gotten too now. I believe in you and I know from your work that you can do it. I hope you decide to keep working it!
You are cracking me up; I super appreciate it! You are right I am being way to emotional and allowing my hurt feelings to blind me...I will re-vamp

There are 1000's of affiliate programs online. If everyone depended solely on Amazon, hardly anyone would have an online business. Quitting over ONE company, who has low commissions and a 24-hour affiliate cookie is not necessary.

Oh, and most programs are going to expect, at the very least, that you have content on your site. Less than half a dozen posts are not going to be enough content to build out an authority site.
Once you post more content, more regularly, it will be easier to qualify for and add affiliate programs.
