Is There a Cheaper Alternative to Google Adwords and Bing Ads

I just cancelled my Google Adwords Campaigns, currently I'm spending about $75 - $100 a day on Bing Ads. I was spending about $150 a day for both of them. I can't do that anymore. I am now pausing my campaigns (2 of them) on Bing Ads and running them only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. That's when I noticed I get the most clicks and some of those clicks end up as referrals. A couple of those have ended up as a WA affiliate sale. I'm still experimenting with legit ways to create traffic with lead generating websites. I read all the reviews I can find on a site and then decide if I want to try it. Haven't found a good one yet. I am currently trying one right now, just signed up with them last night, it does show some promise. As far as the PPC with the large search engines, I can't afford that $150+ a day. My website is ranked on Google, last time I checked it was on page 3, but only getting about 2 - 3 clicks a day. Any advice or Comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would continue to build the content side of thiings, look at the social platform side, and sparingly use PPC, and stick with either Bing or Facebook (cheaper)...

PPC is a simple yet not...It is simple to spend that money and certainly the big providers will gladly and quickly take your money...

Let's talk about each tactic:

First on the content, I think that Grace and others below have covered this pretty well, it seems to me that most of the people here use content as their main traffic source...

On the social side, I would focus on one or two platforms, learn how to leverage them through the tools available and the feaures each has (i.e. FB Fan Page, Twitter strategies, or perhaps Instagram)...

If you look here within WA, there are some good training lessons that will help you learn how to drill down and make them work for you. Social traffic can be an excellent source of free traffic, and there are so many ways to get people to your sites...

On the paid side of things, the training here will help. I would also join some Facebook Groups that focus on paid advertising for their traffic...Always good to get some other opinions from those doing it every day...Lots of good advice totally free...

In my case, we have e-Commerce stores, so paid traffic is a quick and easy way to drive targeted traffic to the different niches and get leads, sales, and profits...

In fact, our business model factors in paid traffic as the main traffic source while we work on the social and the content side of things. But we do not want to waste our money, so always we are looking for ways to get better...Facebook groups have been invaluable for us...

The last thing you can also work on are some novel ways to drive some targeted traffic to your site.

Look at some things like syndicating your content across some high authority Web 2.0 accounts/sites, i.e. Blogger dot com, Reddit, YouTube, and even Amazon...

(1) Tap into the FB Messenger advertising/lead grabbing tools,

(2) Look at a phone app (Android or Apple) from which you can send out push notifications (which have a WAY higher open rate than emails), or

(3) A Chrome extension (from which you can also send out push notifications directly to the laptops of a targeted audiences...

The more organic traffic you get, the less you will have to spend on paid traffic, over time you can then scale up what is working and get that quality content out that those paid visitors will want to see/take action on...

Another thing that is important is to test. You mention spending a lot of money daily. Are you testing and seeing what is performing A/B testing) and using tracking pixels to see what the traffic is doing on your site...

Little tweaks can make a big difference, and to start I would spend no more than $5 a day, test for 3-7 days, then tweak, and try again, Once you have something that works, scale up to the level you are at now use look alike audiences, etc.

So bottom line there are cheaper ways to get traffic, it is selecting the many tools at your fingertips, developing a marketing plan, then executing the plan that will help I think...

Best of luck, I can certainly understand not wanting to spend that kind of money unless you are seeing some real returns...Lots of things you can do though!

Thank you for the advice. I always wondered if the people that make $5000+ a month doing this ever use adwords or bing ads. I'll just keep working on my site and the traffic will come. If you build it, they will come. Didn't Kevin Costner say that in Field of Dreams. Anyway, thanks for the advice.

There are many that make $5K+/month that use 100% SEO. It doesn't happen in a short few months like you might want, but the more publish on your site, the earlier the results can come.

Sure there are other Vegas goers that use PPC, but since you're just started out, it's best to concentrate on your site, then scale later with PPC. I'm sure that's how some of those successful members do it who uses PPC.

I have tried many ppc and ppv. I found Facebook works pretty good there are some ppv that I tried it's called cpaleads and i got some results from them. If you want give it a try.
