Feeling really demotivated

Hey guys,

For the last few days, I have been feeling really demotivated and a bit lost. I can't seem to focus, and I get distracted really quickly. There is also a part of me that can't be bothered any more and I really don't want to feel like that.

I think the reason I am feeling this way is because I am overthinking too much and making everything seem much more difficult than it needs to be and as a result, I am feeling too lazy to do anything because there is too much work involved.

Can anyone share some words of wisdom/ inspiration because I could really do with some right about now...

Hi Saima, I was trying to think of a good answer to your question in order to motivate you. But I found it difficult to put it into words without writing a manuscript.

So here is the best option. Listen carefully to this very inspirational Youtube video, I promise it will really help you get motivated. If you still need motivation, then read this short blog I hope this helps.

Lis.

I struggled with this badly for the first 3 months I was here. I got really frustrated because real life kept getting in the way and as soon as I sat down to work through the lessons I had zero focus or concentration.

So I decided to pace myself and slow right down, I'm nowhere near where I should be with the lessons, but my site is coming along nicely now, plus I've even earned a little.

I started looking at the sites belonging to the more successful members here and it helped me develop a taste for the same as them.

I use a sticky notes program so that whenever I see things relative to my site & my goals & make a note. Before I know it, I have the framework for a new post

Even if you only manage to post once a week, your site will eventually grow and develop and as it grows and you start to see results it will inspire you to put more effort in :)

The first thing to realise is that we have all been where you are now. You cannot compare the journey of someone just starting out to someone who is in the middle but there are similarities between the two in the sense the journey has aspects of it which is similar.
By now you've already worked out this is not a get rich quick scheme you do have to work at it. My suggestion would be take a break for a couple of days and then set yourself tasks which have been broken down into manageable chunks. Don't be over ambitious here if you are running on our week don't give yourself three hours of work. Do what you can and set a task in the time you have.

Hey Saima!

Nice to meet you and cool name:-] Okay, so let's get straight to it. So, you're having a few issues with being easily distracted ever so often and being demotivated.

Remedy #1: “Mind, is the KING of the senses. One who has conquered mind, senses, passion and thought is the KING (in this case QUEEN) among men.”

In short: YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Remedy #2: Your “why” - that's what YOU really need. And here's why!

We all get to that point of feeling overwhelmed, demotivated, over tired and for some of us even over worked. But, despite these things, our “why” is the MAIN REASON for doing what we do and “why” we KEEP GOING.

For instance, the single mothers that joined WA. Their “why” for joining WA in the 1st place... “is to become more independent stay at home moms, so their entire drive comes from that why.”

For others, it could be escaping that dreadful J.O.B (the Journey of the Broke). So, their “why” is pretty straightforward too. It's to become FINANCIALLY FREE, not having to have to worry about bills, food, travel etc.

So, look around you! If you don't remember your “why” for joining WA, then find one. Then, USE YOUR “WHY” TO ALWAYS PUSH AND PROPEL YOU INTO GETTING TO THE NEXT LEVEL LIKE AN ELEVATOR, BECAUSE REACHING THE TOP FLOOR IN YOUR PERSONAL AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT HERE, IS CRUCIAL!!!

Stay positive! Behind you 150%!

Send me a message sometimes if you need advice!

Hi. If you need time to unwind, by all means, do it. I just was put in that same situation. I had to coordinate a garage sale, create Mother's Day gifts with my girls for my wife, and my schedule at work for the next two weeks are ridiculous. So .... I decided to not create anything this weekend. I popped on here a few times when I had a chance, but I promised to not try to create anything that would be rushed.

Sometimes you need a break. Just log on and chat, answer questions, or browse the topics. Keep the pressure off and you'll feel a little relieved.

Hope you get back on track.

Dan

Jackie and JaRo have you covered for some great ideas, now lets help with your website work load to ease your mind.
First off you have taken on a major undertaking to do an online business but it can be simplified. There is a lot to learn but you have plenty of time. You are on your own time line. The internet will take time before it starts to really look at your site anyways. As you learn more it will get easer so take your time.
Just you being here to create an online business puts you years ahead of many so do not worry about the small stuff.
Hope this helps.

Hi, stay focus, do one thing at a time, finish it first before getting into the next.Don't give up & don't give in to temptation or distraction, stay positive & think ONLY the "good outcome" that you will get when you finish the task at hand.Hope this helps you
PS : Thanks for the following

Hi there...one of the biggest things I have learnt on here is not to "over think". As soon as you let yourself become overwhelmed by the information, you can literally confuse yourself and lose yourself in the maze.

Take each day as it comes and focus on each task that presents itself. Let the universe take over and guide you through this...you will find the information when you need it and certain blogs and questions will jump out at you when you need them the most. Trust in this process and you can't go wrong.

We all have good days and not so good days, it's the ebb and flow of life and this business is just the same. Tomorrow is a brand new day and a brand new start, may it bring you the inspiration and motivation to push on :o)

We all get like that sometimes, either from people around us or a lack of belief in ourselves..or both...One of the biggest struggles you'll have trying to become successful is with "yourself." If it happens on WA, it probably spills into other areas of your life also and it's usually not a Wealthy Affiliate issue, it's more psychological. This is where personal development comes in to play, you don't have to go pick up motivational books or anything, just head right over to youtube and type in "motivation, inspiration etc.." When you feed motivation to yourself EVERYDAY it's becomes harder for "demotivation" to creep in all the time. TRUST ME, I've been there. Don't quit on yourself, YOU GOT THIS!

Hello Saima
I think it would be true to say that all of us at WA have, at some time or other, felt the same way.
I'm one of the worst for overthinking things and sometimes look at something for so long I make it into a huge problem.
Don't give up. You know this works as your friend has become successful at affiliate marketing.
I wonder if your niche is inspiring you. If not, that can be a real demotivator. If it isn't something you are passionate about, writing can become a real chore!
Have you seen any of Jay's videos. They are excellent and watching them usually gives me a boost to go on and do something. He makes me laugh as well so that's a bonus:)
I'm also in the UK, Suffolk at the moment. Where are you?
Keep in touch and let us know if you need a push in the right direction or just a chat:)
Take care
Jackie
