Ok guys, this is my last question today (I promise), this is the first time I have ever changed my theme since going premium back in March so it's all kind of new again.

Hi, Amber
This is a link that could come in handy

Plugins that need to be updated to be ready for the move to PHP 5 constructors
https://gist.github.com/chriscct7/d7d077afb01011b1839d

Nothing wrong... ask as many.
f i know an answer, I /we will give it you.
Again, I suspect your theme .
This was also my experience.

OR.... maybe you have added a plugin that conflicts with something else.

Check with your sociable plugin...
It did the same thing with me too.so I dumped the sociable plugin,

Thanks,Great topic Amber,I'll be saving for future reference......Marty

Hi Amber, good question and I'm bookmarking for the answers in case I need it myself at some point.
Thanks
Mark

See my answer below Mark!

Kathy sorted it out for me!

Thought so Amber, she's a diamond!!

See my answer above Kathy!! ;-)

In Appearance - Menu, look up and you'll see "manage locations", make sure you have the right menu selected for where you want it displayed.
Different themes have different options depending on how many menus they have.

Thank you so much Kathy, your help sorted me out! While i've got you here, do you know if the adsense ads will be brought over in time? The posts have the spaces where they should be, but there is still no ads there?

Have you checked that the code is in the widgets? When you change themes things can get mucked up a bit.

Where would I have to go to see that code? Some posts are showing the ads at the bottom of the post but not all of them and all of the ads in the middle of the posts are not showing...I think you are right about the code though.

Hey Kathy, if the ads are showing up on my site via the iPhone, does that mean that they will show up on my pc?

You should be able to see them on your site too, can you give me the link to a specific post where you have the ads

It's really strange, the ads show up on my husbands computer but they are still blank on mine, even when I log out of WP. Google adsense site health has gone down too, so I'm not sure what's happening.

Here is a general post you can look at...I am meant to have an adsense ad in the middle and below the post.

http://howtomakemiracles.com/what-is-the-science-of-getting-rich-about

I can see your ads fine, the only thing it can be is your browser. Have you cleared the cache or tried using another browser?

Will give it a whirl...thanks a bunch Kathy

You're welcome, let me know if you fix it!

All good, I needed a new browser! Many thanks again Kathy

Excellent, glad you got it sorted!

Hey Amber, check in your menus under appearance and make sure that the new theme has not defaulted your menu back, this can happen if you had created a custom menu in your last theme.

How would I see if it has defaulted or not? In the menus under appearance I can still see the custom link and sub item there but I don't know how to make it show up on the new theme

Hey Amber, sorry I didn't get back to you, but it looks as though Kathy331 got you sorted.
Glad its fix for you.

Did you add the custom link and sub item to the menu

They were already there in the menu on my dash, but doesn't appear on the site

Hi guys, I changed the theme and can see the spaces where my ads were, but they aren't there. Please don't tell me that I have to add them manually lol

Isee you got it taken care of, I had no idea a browser could afect this.

What theme?

Remember, some themes are not written perfectly.
some do malfunction; Clashing with plugins.

Hi, sorry to hear this, but I am afraid this is what happens, some people have already reported that banners vanish. Wait for a while and see if they will appear.

I'm assuming you have used a widget or pluggin to place the ads, are those still there with the new theme?

The widgets say the ads are still there. I can see one of the ads at the bottom show up, still waiting for the mid one to come up. Fingers crossed :o)

Me too, let us know how it goes. So the end one that shows is fomr the same adsense account? Seems strange one shows and others don't.

working now as I had to open in a new browser and clear cache. Thank god there are heaps of technical people out the otherwise I'd be in trouble lol

Whew, good result.

You must have had a reason,It'l come back and be better!

Let's hope it does!

Hi Amber. I've seen this myself. I think if you can see the spaces where the ads should be, it may be just a matter of time before they're apparent. My solution to everything is to try refresh lolol. Would this help..?

I hope it does, the ads show up on my phone but not on my pc

I thought I'd change my wordpress theme today and everything seemed ok apart from google analytics not showing my "log on" as such and my menu missing a page. So I have gone bac

Have you added your analytics i.d to your new theme

The menu is an easy fix, that happens every now and then.

If you copy/pasted the Google Analytics code in the header.php file, you will have to do it every time you change the Theme. Better way is to paste the UA-Nr. in the field provided by All in one SEO

John

I just had the same problems I also changed my theme few days ago and analytics didn't work it said I was not linked in. Went back to my original theme and all was OK. Which is weird as I have changed theme before with no issue. I am wondering if the new WordPress update had something to do with it as it was about the same time.
Perhaps may need to re verify with using a new theme not sure.

with the All in One Seo there was no change it still didn't work I even went through Kyle on video on this today no go. So I change back to the old theme and it worked for now I will leave it at that. But later might need to try to add into the new theme. Thank for the help appreciated. At the moment it's all good. Hope Amber has her's working as it's her blog
Take care be well
Andre

It must be the theme as I have change other themes with no issues. Either that or there was some bug in the systems.

It seems like a bug as I just tried it again with the theme concerned and it worked.
