My Site Was Finally Indexed !

Well, my latest update is.....drum roll please....my site was finally indexed by Google! After more than 6 weeks and me chasing my tail, Google finally accepted me as an okay person and gave me the thumbs up.

Now I can get on with the more important things at hand like building out my content, which I shamefully have been neglecting while trying to get the rest of this crazy business under wraps.

I think I will go out tonight to celebrate my little milestone here. Then it's back to work on my next post and moving forward with course 3. There is still so much to do, but now I don't feel as stressed out as before. It was such an awful feeling running in circles and seemingly getting nothing done. Thanks tremendously to both Nathaniell and Marion for all that help. I definitely know their FTP course and help were the things that got the ball moving and me indexed.

Now, on y va (as we say in French)!

What is your secret? I thought my site was indexed, but now, when I try to follow the instructions of 'How to get your pages and blogs to index in minutes', Google Console says I have no property! Now, my Front Page does not show up when I click into Edit Page in our Rubix. Did you run into any of these issues and solve them? I wrote a question in that training, but no response yet. They all are sleeping on that side of the world, lol! Thanks and congrats! Hope you had a nice time celebrating! Lynne

Hi Lynne,

In order to get my site indexed, I had to do what was called a FTP or File Transfer Protocol. It sounds scary, but it really is not hard at all. I had no idea what that was or how to do it, but my mentor on WA sent me a tutorial on how it's done. The video was done by a woman who is also on WA.

Read my bog post on it and you might need to try that. Here is the link: Google search console kept saying that I had no property, either. It was weird because the name of my site would show up, but nothing would register with Google.

However, I didn't have an issue with the Front Page not showing up. That is something I'm not sure of. Do you have a site that ends in siterubix.com to it or is it a .com only? That might make a difference if going the file transfer route. I have a .com so it worked great. See if the tutorial in my link helps. It takes sometime to do, but if you follow both the video and the written text (the one that is for google-not the others) then you should be fine. I have no training whatsoever in that sort of stuff, but I just made sure that while I was learning how to do the transfer and then while I was doing the transfer, no one bothered me and I could really concentrate on what I was doing.

If you need more help, click on the link to my mentor (it's also inside the link above) his name is Nathaniell (yes with two ll's at the end of his name) and follow him. Then send him a direct message saying that he helped me (Ashley) with indexing and you've tried everything, even the FTP video, and I sent you to him for additional help because he is so awesome!

I hope some of this helps! Please let me know. I am really curious how many people have had this issue and if the fix I did works for them.

Good luck!
Ashley

Ok, thanks Ashley! I will study your training and keep Nathaniell in mind.

I have a .com and I noticed that my two recent pages indexed on their own by the next late morning. I fixed the Front page issue. It was a numbering problem and making sure that it is a static page.

I still want to know how to get it to index within minutes, like we have been told happens if we use the Console.

The "within minutes" thing obviously didn't happen with me. I guess Google just likes some people more than other :( LOL!

All joking aside, it is super frustrating when you see others are smooth sailing and you come up with a lot of issues. I certainly feel your pain.

I'm glad you fixed your Front Page issue. That's great!

Cheers and happy indexing! Keep me informed of your progress!

Ashley

I just created my categories, thoughtfully, and created my first post. I am walking away, not going to worry about indexing. I have time. Need to take the classes on monetizing. I have two people I have approached regarding guest blogs. Their categories are all set up. I've included everything I hope to cover, but with a sort of umbrella affect, e.g. Cat: Wellness Using Essential Oils, under 'Parent' Professional Bloggers. That covers whatever they want to talk about. One guest I found on Instagram. One is from WA, has a great story to share!

Congrats-I am hopefully headed there soon too.

Thanks, Allie! I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Good luck :)

Hi Ashley. Congrats!

Thank you very much, Raynold !

Congrats!

I think it`s great to celebrate each success along the way, no matter how big or how small you might think it is. keep that energy and enthusiasm high!

Thanks Craig!

Those little successes are what keep you going sometimes. I tell you, I was just not having fun these last couple of weeks because I felt like I was getting no where, but working hard to get there! I really do feel like I now have some energy!

Great job, just keep going on your way to reach the goals, wish you success !!!

Thank you, Jokoss! I appreciate it! Same to you, too :)
