Don't put passion before principle

Hi good people of WA!

If any of you have seen the movie, The Karate Kid II, chances are you know what I'm talking about. I feel that Mr. Miyagi said it best to Daniel-San when he said, "Don't put passion before principle. Even if (you) win, you lose." This quote has merit to it. This is to say that one would let their emotions cloud their judgment by doing something that they feel is right, but once the goal has been achieved, there's still a chance that part of you is still not fully satisfied. This is the wrong way to go about it. It ties in with a Bible verse in Matthew 16:26, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"

Anyhow, what I'm trying to get at with this posting is when you achieve your highest goal, do it all for the right reasons: by helping others and thanking them for your accomplishments. By doing this everyone achieves and grows as a community. Remember, we ALL sink and swim together.

Have great weekend everyone!

Armand

Yw, Salma! I'll have a good weekend, you have a great weekend. Cheers!

Great post Armand so true, we need to keep working as one team. Pay it forward for the win! Love it!

You got that right, Graham! I would also add to that in saying to not drift too far apart. We must have each others' backs at most (if not all) times.

Have a great weekend too Armand, and never become a victim of your own principles. Because when it feels like you are a victim, it's not your principle, it's a principle from somebody else to who you are trying to live up to.

Wow, I felt that you summed up my post quite well. Thanks, Loes! I'll have a great weekend and you as well. Cheers!

Great advice Armand. Was this the principle you wanted to convey right before you "lost your train of thought?"

3

Hi Kaju! Since you've mentioned it, I would have to answer that as being, yes, this has to do with with losing my train of thought. Thanks for asking! =)
