Which direction are we choosing today?

Uh oh..another thought thing...Was wondering if everyone was at a place where we can actually say which direction we are choosing?

Because today it hit me..that as often as we talk about it..It is really a daily choice..don't you think so?

As I was doing my morning treadmill, two things happened. And I am not making it up.

But it makes for a great story! So do chuckle..And do comment. And this could happen to you too!

I am just walking, (OK well tread milling ) because it is 32 degrees out and raining and welp not going for an out door walk today.

So was just doing my thing, and something changed. I heard this popping sound..And then something whizzed by my head.

And I in my so blonde old woman brain..was going..ummm something just ?

And I could not figure out what happened. I just felt something fly past my head. And as I looked behind me I lost my balance. Whoa!

The lenses on my glasses had popped off!

However did that happen? And not just one but both???

As I caught myself I saw the lenses laying on the floor.

Again I am thinking, wow ever did that happen? Was it something I was needing to see? Do I need to correct my vision?

Everything is a sign to me..it is..well. it's a me thing.LOL

And how very interesting that when I looked behind me..welp. I lost my balance.

What ever does that mean?? OK you get my drift..yes?

So no looking behind us..that is the story we no longer need. I get that one. And that takes us off track.

So I was thinking about how we have this daily choice of moving forward. And whether we choose to exercise it.

And each time that I am on the treadmill or walking, I play a game.

It goes like this.

With each step that I am taking where am I going?

And then I have to answer with at least 5 options.

For instance, today's choices, after I do my SCHEDULE:

1. Do another module in Boot Camp

2. Read about podcasting

3. Find a way to make someone smile today

4. Drink more water

5. Work on my email list

And it can be that simple of more entailed.
And sometimes we have to do it with our psyche too yes?

Today i am taking great care of me.

It starts my day off with direction and structure. ..And that direction is upwards. I am determined that each step I take is going to add :
more love and connection to my life

more success to my life

and more learning

So where are we going today?

And that is beyond the list that we do each day. It is the added bonus of possibility and hope and truly going forward.

So here is my challenge to all of us..what is on your added value list for today as you direct yourself to success?
Do list below. I really want to know..or inquiring minds need to know??

I know each of us is truly rising.. so how do you see yourself rising? And after you list it here..don't forget to post it somewhere you can see today!

In peace and gratitude and loads of success to us all,

I agree with ipalladino that you make us smile with every post you write. And you often make us think - and urge us in different ways to be the best we can be.

For me - definitely only look forward (or I'd definitely fall...)
And I actually read your post earlier, but I thought I'd better do a few positive things before replying, so I did. I sent a few messages to relatives who had got in touch with me - because England celebrated Mother's Day yesterday rather than in May...

And now I am just about to write messages to the three children I sponsor in Colombia and the Dominican Republic. I am always really pleased to get letters and pictures from them and I 'owe' them a reply...

Thanks for bringing the best out in us, Ariel.

With lots of hugs and good wishes,

~ Isabella

Oh thank you Isabella sharing such lovely things.those kids are blessed to have you.i am so glad you are here..and many thanks for your support.

Hi Ariel,
I'm sure everyone will agree with me that you make us all smile, every day. I think that is the best one on your list.

I was wondering if you, kinda fill addicted to your routine? I know I am.

The first thing I do when I get home from work is log into WA and check out all the discussions and responses I have. Set a timer, of course, and change it up every 30 min.

I love this community, it keeps me going and working on my site and artwork.

Hello Irene...I agree I am so fed by this community and by the potential of each moment.thank you for your much appreciated support.

Hi Ariel,
This post is exactly what I needed to see today - see everything is a sign!!
I was tossing up going back to an old job (safety, comfort & money) v's moving in a different direction entirely.
I have to get back to my old work today with an answer either way.
This post made me realise that I really don't want my old job back that I would be much happier moving in another direction.
Thanks for writing this one. I needed to hear it today.

Oh that is fantastic..do let me know about your success,as you go forward please. Thanks for being here.

Well, I think it is good to look back and see how far you have come, we are constantly learning here in WA. In the past few days Marion Black has helped with categories and or organizing my blogroll and now my site overall appearance looks so much better.
So when I look back at what it was and what it is now I know, with the help of the WA community I a constantly moving forward.
Geoff

Great Geoff! To fabulous success.

Hi Ariel,

Thank you for this post. It definitely makes me think. So, where am I going today?

Well, it is a work on my blog day, so up from the cave I call my room to the dining room and away from all my games.

It is also laundry day so down and up and down again.

I'm also cooking dinner for the week so it's been back and forth as well.

Basically I'm going in one big giant circular path.

I did get plenty done today. Not as much as I would have liked, but still forward progress.

Take care,

Michelle/Anne

I hear you!great job and focus!

I had plans...great plans...plans to conquer...but a pesky headache that stayed with me all day - throughout the day - slowed me down a bit. Arrgh!

Fortunately, it's only going on 5:30pm in New York, so I sill have several hours online before I have to call it a night.

As far as looking back, I really don't think there's anything wrong with taking a quick backward glance, sometimes it's necessary, especially if you're lost in the woods, far from home, with no bathroom in sight (I'll save that for another time".

But I think there's a difference in taking a quick backward glance to make sure you're on track, versus constantly going backward out of fear of facing what lies ahead.

Oh sorry about the headache...could not just take off your head.huh? Only teasing. I think when we look backward we are not forward thinking. Hope you feel so much better.

HAHAHA...If only it were that easy!

OK... we can agree to disagree. Having different perspectives makes life much more interesting and juicy!

Ariel,

My list for today is a long one. I always like to make Monday a productive day. It sets the momentum for the rest of the week. That is indeed strange about your lenses popping out. Knowing me, if that happened to me, I would have fallen off the treadmill. (LOL)

Lisa

Hello Lisa, it does set the standard doesn't it? Thanks for being here.

Hello, Ariel. I have enough trouble when I look where I'm going. When I try to look where I've been, I always run into something. You know, a chair, a door, a parked car. It's kind of like being the ball in a pinball machine.

Anywho, still helping the wife after her hip replacement surgery. It will be another couple of weeks yet, but we're getting there. I'll get back to my website when I can.(Now she has to eat my cooking for awhile, incentive to heal quickly.) LOL.

Still moving up. Determined to get there.

Thanks for another great post.

Don

Hello Don, I so hope she is healing well? I bet you are a great nurturer! And I hear you.. i feel the way often the ball in the pinball machine..had not heard that before..thanks..may i use it?
Wishing you ease and comfort, Thanks for being here.

Sure, life lately has been like that. Bumping into one obstacle or another is the daily norm right now. It will get better soon. I always believed in family first. I'll get back to my website when the time is right. Thanks for the kind words.

Don

I love your message today (and every day), Ariel. I also love how you see the positive light and the message in everything you do. Always look forward and move forward. Great lesson for all of us. I'm glad you did not get hurt.

All the very best to you, my friend.

Sue

Hello Sue how kind of you ..thanks! No just downright klutzy..lol.
And no more looking backwards! thank you dear friend for being here.

Funny story,A - but loaded with nuggets. Yes, we carve a way for our success and we need to keep focused, looking ahead and if we choose to look back, stop, do it, then continue...don't do it while you are going at the speed of light - accidents can happen.
This reminds me of a post I did some time ago about looking in the rearview window.
Thnx for sharing, Ariel.
M

So true Ms M! And going forward is our only way ..yes? Thanks for being here.

Indeed! Namaste.
M
