Google get's it wrong too
Google may be high and mighty at the top of the search engines ladder but that are not perfect and do get it wrong as well.
Here is one example relating to indexing issues they claim i had with a post of mine.
Early on I went to GSC and check what is happening to my posts as like many of your know they have on section called Crawled currently not indexed as shown below
Now this can be useful to see not only if your post has been found and indexed but also if there are issue as to why it is so or that is what the purpose is supposed to be.
I went through some post and it stated on three that I checked it stated they were crawled but not indexed with Google so I go through the normal procedure and clicked the post then clicked inspect URL
OK so fair enough nothing wrong so far so I continue and click request indexing and wait the usual 40 odd secs for a response. Not sure why that take longer than Bing but that is Giggles anyway.
Now I get my response which should hopefully tell me in is in the queue to be indexed or if there are further issue I need to look at.
This is the response I got back even though they originally stated it is crawled but not indexed.
So although originally a few minutes ago they stated it was not indexed not they state the URL is on Google (indexed) but has issue and gives me the problem.
So if it is indexed why place it in the not indexed folder they do?
I well Ok so now I find it is already indexed opposite to that they originally stated but no there is an issue with the mobile view so I checked to see what that problem is and for the life of me can't understand why when I always check before publishing a post it is ok on mobile along with desktop and Ipad
OK so now I click the arrow and see what are these so called issue they claim I have with this post. Bear in mind this is not the first time they stated this.
Ok so according to Google these are my issues with mobile for this particular post.
I check the post again on my website and couldn't find any issue at all plus as this has happened before I know they got is wrong.
So I click validate fix and withing a minute got this responded back.
So WT? Google first you tell my my post is crawled but not indexed then while I request indexing you then tell me it is indexed but has issues which is to do with the mobile view so when I validate the fix you now tell me Page is useable on mobile and all is OK so there was nothing wrong with the post in the first place.
Wow mind you I have had this issue with Google claiming some post in the past have mobile issue and when I get to validate the fix there is nothing wrong.
Goes to show you Google is not as great as they make is seem and like any other business they are prone to making errors.
So if you are checking your GSC for any errors do so and don't worry too much that you have don't something wrong they don't do everything right and do may mistakes and some are stupid and useless ones at that.
Remember they have humans working before there systems and humans are prone to mistakes too Google is not the ants pants they make themselves seem to be and they are also make a lot of stupid mistakes recently with their presentation of BARD and trying to compete with Microsoft ChatGPT which is also another story down the track.
So in the meantime follow and apply what you are taught here at Wealthy Affiliate continue to create content for the benefit of your readers relating to whatever niche you are part of and before publishing your content check to see how your post looks on various versions like mobile. iPad and desktop and when all ok published.
Later once in a while go to GSC and make sure all is ok and get any issue validate or request indexed and don't be too concerned on what they state when you know there is nothing wrong as shown above.

Once you start calling yourself the Google God, there is a tendency to believe it. But they are not god and their ego has been ChatGPT hammered.

Very much so Stephen I remember seeing the introduction seminar on Bard vs Chat and Google stuffed up so many things they did not prepare themselves properly and I believe that overestimated ChatGPt ability plus they were late out of the box getting there.
Yea never take their word for it so many people here, particularly newbies get disheartened to find their post is not indexed but if they don't check further they may be surprised that it is.
Not always the case but this example shows they do get it wrong and more than once
Not saying to focus every day on GSC but occasionally check it out once in a while.

I noticed that too, and everything seems to be okay when I validate.

Thank you Muslimah good to know and also confirmation I am not the only one. As I said this is not the first time, especially with mobility issues often I just validate or request indexing and all is fine without the need to look or try to fix an issue that never was there in the first place.

If everyone has flaws, but I wouldn't mind.
In my opinion, it's a normal situation, I don't expect everything to be perfect.
But testing and checking should be a routine for all of us, when something is being built.
I learned at least that much not to panic when something stops, there is always a choice to fix it.
At least that's how I perceive the whole situation.

Thank you Slavka yes everyone has flaws even Google but they should know from other not just myself that certainly algorithms they put are not working many have stated such issue over the internet.

Somehow I made peace with such a situation.
And yes, it will really take a lot of energy and will to keep up with all the happenings.
The tactic is simple, build, turn on notifications for specific information and solve on the fly.
At least that's how I keep up with events and information.
