Amazon Associates Commission Increase Don't Get Too Excited
So Amazon has sent an email stating that there will be an increase in commission for the following 8 categories.
Just don't get too excited as this increase is only for a month then they go back to the crappy commission rates we know Amazon to give the associated.
For those that are doing ok during this time, you may see that increase if you get those sales and will as I said go back to the previous rates.
This is basically a spring sale according to them.
The image says it all with the categories along with what the increase will be before going back.

As you can see this starts on the 4th April 2022 and ends on the 4th May 2022 and will go back to the low rates once more.
So for those selling anything in these categories, I wish you well

I have no intent on ever using the Amazon platform nor do I ever buy anything on Amazon sites.
My disdain for Jeff Bezos and what he stands for should be very apparent now.
The man has no care for anything that could help his business by using affiliate links.
His pockets apparently are not full enough of the World's Gold.

I'm still going to use Amazon but looking at other affiliate programs. I have no idea what the commission is for sports gear with Amazon... I should look it up but why depress myself. Lol...

Most welcome Monica I doubt this would excite many people unless they are newbies but soon they will learn that Amazon is not as great as it seems in the affiliate world and they just keep proving it more and more.

I stopped working on my Amazon sites. I felt it was not worth it since the commission was slashed in 2020. Now, those sites just run on autopilot.
That is the way it seems to be now we did all the hard work for them at the start now they really don't need us so much. A totally stab in the back

Thanks for the update - little consolidation however being that Amazon is the absolute worst affiliate program out there.
You are welcome Leo not are they the worst affiliate program with their commission but the BS 24 cookie is the pits.
Maybe we need to do more reviews on Amazon and how they treat their affiliates so more know about their pathetic attitude for their associates.

Appreciate the info Andre.. Amazon, in my opinion has not had the best interests of their affiliates at heart for.. well I don't really know (but a long, long time)!
I avoid them at all costs honestly, both as an affiliate and a customer ( although the wife, even after some heated discussions, does still use them on occasion, but.. she is getting better)!
The paltry commissions and extremely short (24 hours) cookies are unbelievable.. there are much better deals for us out there if we look for them!
And this new deal for a month only.. then reverting back to the normal commissions? A Joke surely!

hi Nick yea I couldn't agree more short cookies. short deals in commission low commission certainly they are laughing at their affiliate while they earn the millions along the way.
Not to mention their rules that friends and family can't buy actually they can buy just you don't get the commission they get the sale the customer gets the product and you lose any hope of commission even if you didn't realize a family member thought kindly to click your link.
They are really a joke and it's a shame to see so many people even here talking about using Amazon to promote as an affiliate.
Spot on Andre, also the atrocious working conditions that are reported from employees shouldn't be overlooked either in my opinion!
Anyway, I won't be using them.. and I hope many others think twice after reading this as well!

Exactly what I have been hearing too Andre. But you are correct, unfortunately many don't have a choice with their living conditions so must do whatever they can in order to survive.
I just believe that a company the size of Amazon and the amount of profit they make, should be able to provide adequate conditions for all employees.
True it should be that way with what they are earning and they should be treating their workers better along with better working conditions.
Then again some big companies don't care and workers desperate for work are a dime a dozen to them.
Think of the Americans working in coffee shops and restaurants when they survive on tips rather than better wages.
So much for the land of the free, more like land of the cheapskates and stuff the workers.

It's criminal what some companies and corporations get away with, but while they can, unfortunately they will..
