Hey Ann,
Phil explained how to do it here in WA, another alternative is to bookmark the classes in your browser or create a Notion.so account and bookmark them there.
I actually recommend the notion route as it’s what I do for bookmarks.

Yes. Bring up the lesson and click the star icon to the top right. You'll be prompted to enter a tag that you can use to find the lesson later. And, of course, you can group lessons by giving related ones the same tag.
Is there a way to bookmark a class that you would like to take later?

I remember seeing that the Premium Membership included 1 free domain. Is this correct? And if so, how do I get access to that domain when building my website?
At checkout, third option credits and >>>> if eligible <<<<<
One dot com domain equals 32 credits.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/domains
However, starting with a siterubix subdomain may be better until you are happy with your niche and name, as you cannot edit the URL of a premium domain name once purchased. And if you happen to have made a mistake.
Reading your notes below, you may check this resource from Kyle. How to Change Your Theme Design in Wordpress A button on top says 'Add new' in Appearance > Themes.
To change your theme, here is what to do.
You may go to Appearance > Themes and add new.
Input what you are looking for, install, and activate.
Your content will be left intact; you may lose out on CSS styles and social media icons if, however, with a bit of tweaking, you are done.
We always recommend leaving a backup theme; you may do with the Twenty Twenty-Four. (Default)
Hi Abie, Thanks for this info. I started watching the video and per your instructions I am pretty sure that they are for websites that already have Wordpress installed. Is how to do this included in the Level 2 classes?
I just l looked at lesson 1 of level 2 and it already assumes that you have wordpress and a template installed. When I purchased my domain I was not prompted to take these steps and this is not covered in Level 2 training. Can you help?
By default, every WordPress you built here has the GeneratePress.
You can click the 'Add New' button up top to head to select another template.
Also, WA hosting is WordPress. However, the themes come from blank canvas; we built our content for them.

You'd want to head for the hubs training vs the OEC. The OEC will soon be obsolete.

There is webinar training within, which you can watch and follow.
If you have any questions, kindly let us know. You may leave your inquiries on the webinar training so the community or I can help you.
Hey Abie, I take back everything I said. I just checked my live website and it is up and running with the theme I selected. Now I am going to continue on with the Hub training to learn how to customize it. Thanks for your patience and understanding and support

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/domains How To Claim Your Free .com Domain After Upgrading
Hey Brenda, thanks again for your help. I was able to register my domain with the credits as you explained. Now I am having a different problem. After registering the domain I am trying to select a them for my website on the page where I define my url, site title, etc. But when I select a template for my website it brings me up to the top of the page and wont let me select the template. I have tried many different ways of adding the template, but I haven't been successful yet. Can you pls help?
Yes, the problem is that I dont have Wordpress installed on my website. And I have been searching for info on how to do that and haven't found anything yet. Lesson 1 of Level 2 already assumes you have wordpress and a template installed on your website, and I havent been able to do neither. Can you help?
Can you give us the URL, please?
WA is WordPress hosting, as explained above.
You want to work with hubs.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/hubs/build/
Go to Site Manager, build a Website, choose the domain that you own, then select a template Wordpress You can use GeneratePress WordPress it is already there under Build a Website
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites
Then choose the GeneratePress theme and follow the instructions. It will set up your WordPress site just like that.
Awesomely happy for you :) Hubs do build siterubix subdomains but not premiums, so yeah, Brenda's instructions are helpful :)
After you have done so, you may choose an existing site in your hub.
Excuse me for not realizing you have not built your premium domain yet.
Thank you so much Abie, I was able to build my site and get access to the wordpress. When I go to themes I see the theme that I have chosen. But when I click on Visit Site it takes me to the same page where I need to input all my site info and build a site again. Of course when I try to do that I get a message that there is already a site built on that domain. But what I dont understand is why when I click on visit site it doesnt go to my template and rather goes to the login page I mentioned where it says I need to build my site. Can you please help?
Please refresh your site manager page (Ctrl + F5) and try again.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites
You may also need to empty the browser cache of your website, refresh, and try again. Try the URL in a different browser or mobile device.
You can also empty the server's cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache
https://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache
Ann, you must set up your site in the hubs section. Then follow the 8 core new trainings at the hubs; that is where you need to go. Just as Abie explained, you have to cache your browsers, sometimes your browsers will hang once you clear and refresh, it should work. Your login page and everything needs to be done at the hubs from this point on, not from SiteManager, ok? Have you gotten the instructions on how to set up your existing site for the Hubs?
Hi Brenda, thanks for your reply. No I don't have the instructioins of how to set up my site for the Hubs. I don't even know what Hubs are. Can you please help?
Hey Brenda, I went poking around and found where I could create my Hub for my new website. So that is all ok, except that when I click to see my live website it still takes me to the same page where it asks me to login and then to start the whole process of creating a site all over again. I am not able to access my live website. Can you please help?
Hey Brenda, so does that mean that the information in the new Hub training includes what is in the basic course? I don't want to miss out on any of the training.
All members now go to the hubs. Log in from the hubs. The online entrepreneur course will be gone on March 1, 2024, so you're thinking back to July when you first came on this platform using the old lessons. The old lessons are no longer needed. We now refer all people to the hubs; all training is new.
The 8-core training is the one you should be following, and then the one after that is called the Growth series, so more training will be added after that.
You do not go to the live site, you go to the login page. Log in to the Back Office on your WordPress site first! you have to create stuff in there first follow the 8 core lessons, it explains step by step you're on the wrong lesson plan. Hubs is it!
I need clarification on why you cannot log in to your website directly from your hub. If you go to your hubs, you should see your existing website already created. Then you log in from there. it will be on the right side that says Login. I need to know if you can see your login from your hubs. Is this possible? If you do not see your website listed there, you must create it.
See screenshot
Hey Brenda, ok got it loud and clear!! I am already in the hubs training and taking lesson 1, so already following your instructions. I am able to login to my wordpress backoffice from the hubs area. But when I click on View Site from the wordpress platform it doesnt take me to my live website. It takes me to a place to sign in. I have attached a photo of what appears when I try to see my live site.
You're in the wrong place. That is for siterubrix.
Please show me in SiteManger how many websites you built
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites
It should show
siterubrix or the domain name you got from your credits.
Did you build under siterubrix? or your domain name? That Phil told you to do.
It is essential to know the difference.
SiteRubrix is like a temporary website builder to build until you buy your domain name with the 32 credits, so let's be clear. Which is it. Go to Domain
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/domains
if none is there, you don't have your domain name site yet; you still have Siterubrix. Is that what you are saying?
Were you able to refresh, clear your cache on your website, and log in?
That's provided you have built your site in the Site Builder.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/build
Choose a domain you own, enter credentials, and follow the procedure.
Have you done that already?
Hey Abie, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Honestly I felt so frustrated that my Live site wasn't appearing and so I couldn't continue my training, that I just stepped back for a few days. I know its not the best reaction to take, but nevertheless, that's what I did. The important thing is that I am back!
Ok so this is what happened. I used my credits to buy my domain and afterwards I was never prompted to build my site in Site Builder. So when I went back to the page where you have to fill out your domain, page title, etc. And when I enter my info it says that I already own a domain with that url. I am not able to build my site.
I am feeling that frustration again as I write this. Sorry about being honest about how I feel.
It's totally okay; this has happened to me as well. But I take it you're good now, yeah :)
Please do not hesitate to seek more help anytime! All the best.

I already have a website that I have created in Shopify which is an ecommerce Pet Shop Store. Can I apply what I am learning here in WA to that website?
Yes, of course. You can't, however, transfer the site to Wealthy Affiliate as Shopify doesn't use the WordPress platform.
You can continue to use it. You can add and update a blog with regular posts to drive organic traffic to your store or merchants.
