My Progress: Less Than 1 Month In
The Road So Far...
Hey Guys,
So this is my first blog post. I've been so crazy busy I kept meaning to do one but other priorities kept getting in the way. The important thing to remember is that celebrating the small victories are a priority too! So, Tuesday will actually only be the 3-week mark for me so I haven't been here long at all. Almost no time really. It feels like months ago that I joined though! Everything has been so exciting & I've gotten so much done that it's hard to believe it hasn't been any substantial amount of time at all. Let's see what progress I've made!
Emotional & Mindset Progress
So, mental & emotional progress is just as important as the tangible kind, maybe even more so because if you have the wrong mindset it is a lot harder to make progress in other areas. Here are the things I've achieved on the inside:
- Having Hope
- Being Willing To Invest In Myself
- Changing Bad Habits
- Creating Better Habits
- Boosting Focus
- Hightened Productivity
- Realizing The Tiny Goals Add up To Big Ones
- Being Proud Of The Baby Steps
Those were big things for me! Things I didn't think were possible. Once I started celebrating the tiny little achievements instead of stressing about big ones, I realized how fast they add up to something substantial!
Learning Process
So here in the WA community you learn crazy fast! Since you learn by doing, not just reading watching how to do things, it becomes second nature oddly fast! Also, this community made me hungry for more knowledge, anything I could get! I now follow quite a few experts outside the community because the wonderful people here helped me to see the immense value getting many opinions on the same thing at once, seeing what works best & picking the one that is best for me! Let's see, I've learned how to:
- Build A Site
- Do Everything Keyword Related
- Work With Plugins
- Use The Power Of SEO
- Create Content
- Which Tags Matter
- Anything Can Be Profitiable
- Create A Sitemap
- Use robots.txt
- Importance Of Indexing
- Calculate Compounded Interest
- So Much More...
It has all been an absolute BLAST! I even started taking business classes on my phone! I started an amazing program with that app that lets me learn in a really quick, easy & fun way, totally for free! They are who taught me compounding interest. I am not one for math usually, but this app made it so easy & actually fun! If Kyle hadn't shown me that there are way more resources out there that are really great & don't require having a trust fund, I probably never would have found that either!
Tangible Progress
So what have I done that I can actually see? Here's a partial list:
- Created My Own Site
- Bought A .com Domain
- Created Business Email Addresses
- Made Proffessional-Looking Menus With Dropdowns
- Made My Site Visually Appealing
- Created My Very Own Logo
- Created 6 Posts With Great Images
- SEO Tags For Everything
- And Many More Little Things That Added Up To My Site Looking A Pros!
This is proof that anyone, even someone who only knows how to turn the computer on, check email, & Google, can learn to build their own business from the ground! I had no tech know-how before. I could use the internet of course. But creating things, SEO, meta tags, logos, plugins & all the rest were completely foreign to me. Look at me now! Not even 3 weeks later & I've Come So Far!!!
Keep up the good work, stay focused & determined & have the initiative to seek out info that could help & things will happen very quickly! Best of luck to you all!

Love your enthusiasm. I am also a new member here and I can relate to what you are writing. It really is amazing how fast you can learn something.
I always thought that it would take much more time, but in reality if you are focused enough you can learn so much in short period of time.
The mindset is the first step. Without it you will not have a power to persist. So keep going and make the change in the world.

Of course! Its called Smartly. The icon is a pink S made up of squares. Google play has free so apple probably does too. You apply to the business degree program you're interested in (I think you can apply until June 20th for the upcoming semester) & if you're accepted the classes are completely FREE.
I haven't heard back yet but while I'm waiting I still have accessed to certificate courses for free too. I learned how to compound interest in 1 day! It is really fun & interactive too. Makes it easy to learn. Let me know what you think! Best of luck!

Wow! You've accomplished waaaay more in your first three weeks than I have in my first year! I'm surely glad this isn't a contest. Haha I would be searching for where everyone else disappeared to.

Thank You! Honestly, I don't think I've done nearly enough. I had 2 weeks worth of articles scheduled to post & then wrote a new one & scheduled it to publish 2 weeks later 6 days a week bc I'm medically disabled so I wanted to have a buffer in case I got sick or something. That way I'd have 2 whole weeks of articles that would go out on time no matter what. Then my wrists started to hurt every time I used them, probably from the uptick in typing & things like that, so I had to stop using my hands as much as possible to let them heal completely so I could go back to work & use talk to text & take it easy to prevent it in the future so I lost my buffer weeks & now I'm pretty much publishing seconds before deadline.
I'm trying to catch up but it seems impossible ATM. I haven't done a WA lesson in weeks & I still need to set up Google Analytics, look into affiliate programs & 50 other things just sitting on my to-do list. It feels like I'm trying to run up the down escalator. LOL. So it's nice to hear you say that I had accomplished a lot quickly. It makes me feel like I had a head start so falling behind might mean I'm actually right on track. LOL. Thank you!

Don' even worry. I'm so far behind that I think I'm in the lead. :D
But the nice thing is that, no matter how long it takes me, I will eventually do better an' go fast.
I hate to put more on you, but if you start posting blog posts (using talk to text an' they don't hafta' be long), people will begin to know you better by how you write an' like that. Maybe, one to three a week?
As soon as I saw that you had wrist pain, I was gonna' suggest that you use talk to text. You beat me to it. Haha
I also wondered if Fibromyalgia was one of your challenges. That's one of mine an' I know it can completely take a person outta' commission. If you don't wanna' say... that's fine an' please forgive me for asking.
