I just looked at my Google indexing for my site and saw that none of them have been indexed in Google since Dec 16th. I thought that maybe it was because Google had slowed down
Hey Angela,
Here’s what I got from Chatgpt:
Circular redirects can prevent search engines from indexing your posts properly. Here’s how you can fix the issue:
### 1. **Identify the Redirect Loop**
- **Use Online Tools:** Tools like [Redirect Checker](https://www.redirect-checker.org/) or [Screaming Frog SEO Spider](https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider/) can help identify the loop.
- **Check Google Search Console:** It may provide specific URLs causing issues.
### 2. **Fix the Redirect Chain**
- **Review .htaccess File (for Apache servers):** Look for any misconfigured redirect rules.
- **Check CMS Settings:** If you're using WordPress or another CMS, check the permalink settings and any redirection plugins.
- **Database Redirects:** Look for incorrect redirects in your database, especially if using plugins like Redirection.
### 3. **Remove Unnecessary Redirects**
- Ensure you have direct redirects (e.g., A → B) instead of long chains (A → B → C).
### 4. **Update Links**
- Check internal and external links to ensure they point directly to the correct URL without causing loops.
### 5. **Test Changes**
- After fixing the redirects, test the URLs again using the tools mentioned to ensure the issue is resolved.
### 6. **Submit to Google**
- Use the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console to submit the corrected URLs for indexing.
### 7. **Monitor and Maintain**
- Regularly monitor your site for new redirect issues to ensure smooth indexing.
If the problem persists, consider reaching out to your hosting provider or a web developer for further assistance.
Hope this helps.
Maxine :)
So, you can fix it eventually. It's a shame working hard on articles and they're not being indexed. I feel your frustration, my friend.
I can only hope so. I was hoping that it was a fix that would be easily identified, but no such luck. I guess I will have to keep digging to find out what is going on.

What I have been doing is scheduling my posts on my site for up to a week out. Especially this time of year, I wanted to make sure that I had my posts posted, even if life got
I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. I have to admit this situation didn't happen to me, yet. It is good that you catch this mistake or error. But if this persists I would definitely contact SiteSupport.

Hey Angela,
What I found works best for me is a plugin... yeah... another plugin... but I haven't had not one issue with scheduling since I added this must-have plugin for sites hosted here.
See screen print below...
Hope you find this helpful.
PS: I'm sure it has something to do with the high-quality protection the servers provide our sites with... and... I'd sooner add another plugin then go without the amazingly, awesome level of security that WA servers provides their users with.
This is interesting, as I've had some issues with scheduled posts in Wordpress too. Are you saying you still schedule inside Wordpress, and then use this plugin as well? I'm not familiar with this one...but willing to give it a try. Just want to make sure I'm clear on what you're saying :)
Yes, Mary that's exactly what I mean.
Richard explains a bit of the issue below... but... in my opinion, it must have something to do with the awesome level of security that the WA severs provide for our websites.
Heck.. on other's servers I HAVE to use Wordfence Security, yet on WA servers I do NOT!
So... using the scheduling plugin is an easy workaround.
Thank you Trish. Your comment about the security on WA and not having to use Wordfence is interesting. Do you host sites both in and outside of WA then? I have one hosted elsewhere and some here....and uncertain of which way to go with them. To be honest, sometimes the lack of access to certain settings on the ones hosted here is inconvenient. But, I never really considered the security issue you mentioned, as I'm not quite as well-versed as you in the tech end of things.
My local business is helping others with their online presence, so yes, there are several different locations for servers that my client's are using.
Local businesses need to host their sites locally. That's the number 1 best SEO advice for all local business owners.
Having had WordPress sites hacked years ago, Wordfence Security was the BEST defense offered to the 'little guy'... and, it still is!
I don't need local hosting. I guess what I was really asking was your thoughts on using WA hosting given the challenge of using a "closed system" with no access to certain DNS settings, and such. I'm assuming you also do host with WA?
Personally, Mary... I LOVE the WA hosting servers.
I use their servers for my MMO sites and my personal blog.
My personal blog always attracted more American viewers than Canadian back when it was hosted on a server in Toronto, Ontario... so moving it here... to a server in the States... was an easy decision.
Given that PLUS the additional 'keeping in the loop' by remaining here as a member of WA, it also affords me a cost-cutting method that provides waaaaay more advantages to using WA servers.
Hope I've explained it better... it not... please say so. I won't mind.
Thank you so much for that answer, Trish! It definitely sorted some things out in my mind, and I really appreciate the time you took to answer.
Hi Angela
The problem is that it depends on the WordPress scheduler depends on the WordPress "Cron" function, which only triggered when someone visits your site at the "right" time (whatever that is).
I used to regularly have the same problem until I found a plugin called "Missed Scheduled Posts Publisher by WPBeginner".
It's free, extremely lightweight and takes no setup. Every 15 minutes it "pings" the Cron which then triggers any post schedules missed in the last 15 minutes. For me, it just works.
;-)
Richard
the wordpress scheduler isn't very robust....
so if your site wa doing something else when the yime to post was there then it will miss it...
and not try again....
there are plugins that are a lot more robust and will try again a number of times before reporting a missed post....

I am debating if I should have my affiliate link to WA directly on each of my posts, or if I should have a page on my website that really talks up WA with my affiliate link and
Starting off it’s a good idea to have your WA review be your hub with your affiliate link and have your other posts link to it 👍🏼
Cool beans, I will have to write a review then of WA and get that on my site so that I can link all of my posts to it XD
