I Need Advice and I Finally Caved To Ask

I will make this short, but I have been having this in my head for weeks and I can't come up with an answer.

How can I write reviews for products I don't use? Products usually don't come with 30 day trials, but have money back guarantees. The MBG's most of time are crap as I never got my first month's payment back. I don't get how so many people can write thousands of reviews on products for one site. Am I missing something here?

I am writing about my own stuff and doing my best, but it's tough to compare to other things I have never used personally. How does one reconcile this? How can I possibly do this without having first hand knowledge on these items?

Anything you guys say is helpful to me. Appreciate the time for stopping by.

Andrew

Thanks, everyone! It just feels like stealing if I read other reviews and write my own based on that. Doesn't feel like I'm being honest that way and im huge on that.

Hi Andrew.
Looks like you got some great answers here. Glad you asked the question. I was wondering about the same thing.
All the best,
Wendi :)

As others have said, you can do a products review without ever having tried the product.
You can:
-Make a list of product features.
-Compare and contrast features of a product with another product.
-Read a product review and summarize it in your own words.
-read what others are saying in Amazon reviews and summarize it.
Hope this helps!

The way that Jay explained it in one of his trainings, I believe, is that you don't have to try everything you review. Instead, you're more of a curator of information.

You're helping figure out what works best for them by using what you find online through other people who have used the product.

You're doing the research for them and putting it into one, nice article that's easy for them to read. This will help them make an informed decision.

Hope that helps!

I am big on honesty and it feels really dishonest to write a review/comparison on something when I never used something. Which is discouraging...

I don't think it's dishonest. You're saving them a step by pulling together information for them. You don't have to say that you purchased it. Just "I did some research on this product and here's what I found."

Or, you can do comparisons of different products. I did that with air fryers. I said I was researching them to possibly buy one myself (which was true, by the way!) and here are the top ones that I found based on Amazon reviews.

It's not dishonest because you're not pretending that you own the product. You're still helping the customer because it pulls together information that they would have to do themselves.

Just my 2 cents! Otherwise, you can just focus on other things if you're not comfortable with it. There are many ways to do things in this business.

I search for customer reviews on merchant websites, and make a list of cons and pro's people say from the product. When I have 5 people who are saying that eg. the product has a too short cable, I add that as a con in the list.

We were happy to see your question here and the answers you received. This is a tough one as not everyone can afford to buy all these products (we included).
Thanks for asking this.

Thanks for sharing, Andrew.

research and take pointers from online reviews of people who tried the products.

It can be hard yes if you don't use the product, but it can be done.
Research the product, read reviews on it the good and bad reviews. From there you can come up with content.

A great many affiliate sites such as Amazon and Clickbank have vendors/merchants who supply previews of their products.
You simply take them and edit them - put your own spin on them.

A great many of these same companies supply promotional material you can use.
