Feeling a bit discouraged.
About two months in now and have steadily progressed to certification course 3, lesson 4.
I was beginning to get into the swing of things - producing an article about 3 times a week and building a good G+ network etc.
Having a bad moment now - I've learnt that the 50(ish) images I've uploaded all need adjusting in size - both pixel and kbits; that they mostly need re-positioning to the right and that there aren't enough of them.
Further, that my font is too small (I have no real idea how to change this at present, seems like I need to go change the theme files which will promptly get overwritten if my theme updates). Whilst I can use plugins for the font, the general advice seems to indicate that this slows things up and the coding changes are the right way forward.
Just feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of doing all of this and loosing my momentum on content generation. Seems to me, if I don't fix these things now, consistently, I'll just have more to do later.
And, no sign of anything getting ranked by Google...Kyle's training says "now that we have some traffic coming to our website" in course 3, but that isn't really the case yet for me.
Anyone got the violins out yet?!
Just feeling sorry for myself, I'll probably pick myself up tomorrow, shake myself down and start over on these tasks.
On the bright side, I have two more articles all-but-finished, and two more in production, so once I get all this done I can get back to publishing regularly.
I'm trying to fit all of this in around my full-time job, so setbacks like this are quite discouraging - anyone got any re-assurances for me?

Try using EWWW Image Optimizer plugin - it will reduce the file sizes of your images - so at least you won't have to manually do that. And it will optimize the sizes of new images you upload too.

I feel the same way at times, especially when I think I have done something exactly right and find out that its not. Just keep the end product in mind. It takes awhile. Have a good weekend.

One thing I am sure you are aware of is, we are all in the same boat. It's tough with a full-time job. But know this, this is temporary, you will become very skilled at this and your business will blossom.
