I have seen it taking anywhere from 3-5 days... Transferring Your Domains to WA - It's Now Possible!
Taken into consideration that the whole authorization process has been completed, the process takes anywhere between 2 hours up to 72 hours to complete.
This has not much to do with WA servers, but with the entire world updating their records (cache) on what domain is hosted where (address).

Hi Dawn
You can always send a friendly note to Site Support and ask them to just check. They will be able to tell you if you should change the Nameservers or anything like that.
Hope it helps!

I haven't looked at the Affiliate Bootcamp training yet, as I am still working through the "Get Started" course (I'm on Course 1, Level 10) and building my own niche website.
That's something that bothers me too. I think you should have a successful affiliate site first, then build the WA site from a position of knowledge and authority. It will truly show up in your content.
I still have a lot of training to do, but I do have one referral, so it is possible, and the more training we complete and more experience we gain will only make us better.

Hey Dawn,
You have a few ways to approach it. The first is to start with a niche outside the WA/internet marketing space that will be fairly easy to rank for and can get you sales. Internet marketing is highly competitive. By choosing a less competitive niche, you'll will likely gain success quicker, all things being equal. Once this starts bringing in sales, you can use that as your marketing experience. It will give you total credibility. You can show how you got traffic and how you turned that traffic into sales, etc. Then, you can use that experience to build out your WA-type business.
Another way is to start out with the WA-type business and use the network of expertise here at WA as your credibility. It's probably wise to admit that you are a newcomer and you can build up your site and write about your experiences as you grow in that niche. If anyone has questions, you can reach out to the community for answers. Then, you can describe how you have that community available to you and encourage people to join.
Another way, and I don't recommend this, is to "fake it until you make it." Many people (not necessarily here at WA) in the marketing niche take this approach. If you get found out, it can kill your reputation. I think the above two approaches are way better, IMHO.
Best Regards,
Jim
I was wondering do you have to upgrade to premium in order to proceed with your website in the getting started portion? Or can you continue without it?
You don't have to upgrade to Premium to continue using your website. But doing so will give you the needed tools, training and support to take your business all the way. The Starter account is great for getting started, but if you are able to, you really want to get your hands on all the training WA has to offer. Hope this helps :)
Thank You For Responding. I will definitely get premium asap. But in the meantime I do have another question if you don't mind, can you do the link plugin for WordPress from Amazon using your phone? And will you have to have premium before your page comes up in Google's search engine?
You're welcome :) You can work on your site with your phone, including using plugins like that, but it's really not something I recommend. It's going to be difficult to work on your site this way.
Not at all, your site can and will rank using a .siterubix.com domain name. I've seen guys getting tons of traffic with these free sites. So it's possible. But it's the in-depth training on getting your site ranking in the first place that you won't have as a Starter.
Hi Dawn, Absolutely you can jump into bootcamp without experience. The difference between the two trainings, is that one focuses on developing the site around your own interest/niche and the other, Bootcamp, developing a site around the "online business" niche promoting WA. Both of them would equip you with all the training you need to be successful. ~Mark
Yes, there are a couple people that started off with WA website and were successful with it. I can't find their post right now but, short answer is yes, you can start off with WA and still be successful with it.
Of course it is recommended to go with your passion. I myself went with affiliate bootcamp.

Can I move my website to a new domain name without loosing the content?
My current site name has a hyphen and I thought of another name that is available without having to h
Hi Dawn, Yes you could do this but you may want to consider leaving your existing site where it is ... and then redirect your new domain to the old domain that way you don't lose as rankings that you already have, it will depend how old your site is and if you are already generating traffic etc.
Your hosting will be able to help you do either of these options.
Trust this helps ..

Hi @Dktaylor70
were you able to move your content to a new domain without losing all your content?
there are many easy to use plugins that will allow you to move all your content to a new website without losing anything
For example WP Clone
Yep! Simply buy the new domain (if you haven't already), link it to WA (if you're buying it elsewhere), then go into SiteManager and click "move" on the site in question; from there it's just a matter of picking your domain and finalizing the move!
Thank you! I didn't want to buy the domain until I knew if I could transfer my content. I appreciate your answering me!
