Met An Ex WA Member, it Was Interesting

There is a kind of swashbuckling romance to the whole idea of being online and creating an income, kind of ranks way up there in today's world.

So many people are interested or are actively searching for ways to create an online income, which bodes well for people wanting to help people to succeed with this endeavor.

In the beginning, it can be a stop-start affair, embracing, claiming the marketing mantle, and overcoming impostor syndrome takes time and reaching that point can be a real breakthrough in your online career.

That question,

Have you made any money yet can be a conversation stopper for sure, and the cause for many marketers to crawl back under their rock, you may know that feeling?

An Experience

I had a really interesting experience, someone approached me at a venue and asked

"You do online marketing don't you"

"yes what would you like to know"

At that point, one has to be so careful two seconds and you are speaking clean over someone's head, they are lost and confused.

A short time here immersed in WA and you are speaking a totally different language than the surrounding folks, it can be a case of picking the vibe of the people that you talk to, a skill that can be useful to develop.

Anyway, another guy overhearing the conversation approached me and asked the same question,

"yes I do and it is the coolest thing in the world"

It was like I became this conduit lightening rod and this guy just opened up and it was like 50,000 thoughts were trying to come out of his mouth all at once. I think it was just one of those cases where someone would listen and show some understanding.

If you are an online traveler and observer you get to see a lot of things and get a feel for the wider internet communities, so you can kind of converse on many subjects. This guy had done it all, you think of something and he had done it.

So I said; " you wouldn't have happened to hear of a platform called Wealthy Affiliate".

Turns out he was a one-time member, from the conversation probably some time back, then he started to rattle off all his ports of call, this guy has been all over and he is still searching.

I know reading you are going to say " shiny object syndrome " written all over this cat.

The thing is this guy has been at it since 2008, Wealthy Affiliate was in its infancy, so imagine where he would have been if he had stuck at it, scary.

The current situation he is hanging to make his first dollar!

All he wants is one dollar.

What really interests me is why people do not follow through but most importantly why people choose to leave or quit something.

For this guy, all he has to do is one thing and see it though, the money will come, it sticks out like a country mile and in talking to him, he actually realized that. On the flip side of the coin, he doesn't have the ability to focus long enough to create the outcomes that he is searching for.

The why, so why not.

The biggest factor in the equation is that he doesn't trust, and doesn't, trust in himself.

Trust the platform, the course, the software, this kind of fear has developed that in some way he will be ripped off, or he will rip himself off.

One of the things that he had convinced himself of is that he couldn't write or create content, based on college experiences.

So the outcome was that he was in this perpetual cycle of buying product after product searching for that golden nugget, knowing what he should do, but not doing.

Folks in this cycle develop an unintentional basis their thinking and mindset are tainted tending to view things from a negative perspective, the tendency is that they know the outcomes and know the answers, it is kind of really random.

The crazy is that folks know people make money online, they see it all around them.

The Zen of Online Marketing

" The roof is leaking do you run away and get a bucket or do you get a sieve to catch the water".

One answer is right and one answer is wrong or is it.

You do not have to be the best to succeed

Just strive to be your best and that best will be your best that will see you succeed.

The thing about WA is that we have all the knowledge and resources that we need, just hitch your wagon to the Wealthy Affiliate train and follow along and most of all implement what you learn.

"Folks that are dwelling in searching and looking for ways to succeed central are always looking for ways to reinvent the wheel, as we know here in WA the wheels on the bus go round and round ".

The outcome is that someone here in WA may get an unexpected commission sometime soon.
So all ends well.
