When did you start experiencing (surprising) traffic growth?

I'm knees deep into the WA training — and I had to ask a question or create a blog post. I know I didn't need to — but doing this keeps my head in the game, and as per the advice given, it is a good way to keep myself engaged with this amazing community, too.

Anyhoo. While I hate to create a correlation between # of posts and traffic (quality above anything) — I still need to ask, when did you start witnessing REAL traffic growth?

I'm currently 13 posts in — and always with a value-based mindset. It's tougher than I initially anticipated, but now I dream of an affiliate marketing business.

I'm still waiting. So heres to a lot of traffic for us both! Laura

Hi Alxeander

I am new here and I have learned that it will take being consistent and persistent with your website and then the traffic will come.

There is so much to learn and many different options to use to gain organic traffic.

I thought that I was not getting much traffic until I went over to Bing/Yahoo and found out that I had a lot of interest over there and the keywords that were in my articles amazed me on what was being looked for.

in saying this just do you and keep going and it will happen.

I hope this helps

All the best
Jennifer

Wow, Great question cause I was wondering the same question.

I always knew it would take a little while and the outcome really is individually-based, but, it’s encouraging to hear what everyone has to say.

I still can’t believe I’m doing this, I just started level 2, in lesson 2. Do you think I can start blogging? I really want to start.

Hi Lisa
You should start typing up your blogs any time you think about something to write about.

I write articles every day using Word on my Desktop.
I then save them in folders.

You should do the same even if you don't have much content on your site as yet.

So if you have picked a Niche and there are plenty of products in that Niche then those saved articles will serve you well when it comes to actually promoting on your site.

When you do decide to publish you can either have a Blog Roll or a static page.

With a Blog Roll it will always be your latest blog that appears at the top of the list.

With a Static Page this will actually be your Home Page although you can make your Blog Roll your Home Page as well.

You get stuck, you get in touch.

The correlation is definitely between number of post and traffic ......and you can not get around that. Here's why that's true: It's common in the beginning to see your website and individual blog post like a book with all the pages in it. However, a website isn't really like a book at all!

Each blog post finds itself in a different place on the web for a different keyword. So, what you have now is basically 13 different places readers can find your post and website. NOT only one place which would be your website.

So that when you have 100 post you will have 100 DIFFERENT places for readers to find your website. In reality when you have 100 indexed post its feasible to think readers could find your website in 1000 different places.

So, quality is important, but you can not possibly discount the fact that more post = more traffic.

Really good info Robert...thank you!

No probs Steve, happy to put in my two cents worth as and when I feel its appropriate.

I'm still in the early stage. I have 4 months and haven't seen much :( but I will be adding more content to my website soon :)

Nice question. I know how you feel. I have been here since August and am truly amazed with the community and the training is absolutely wonderful. But I too often wonder when I will see traffic.

It's nice to see a tipping point though. 100 posts, this is doable and fun, and much learning for us.

Alexandre,
For everyone, this is going to be different there is no one
answer fits all wish there was and then we could all look
forward to exactly when we would see traffic :)

Attached is the graph of the number of visitors to my website on a daily basis. My website is almost a year old (bought the domain in Dec 2017) and I get between 150 - 200 visitors per day currently.

As you can see, traffic started trickling in, in Feb 2018 only, and I think those were mainly from comments that people from WA were leaving. In August, I got hit with the Google Update and thus, the traffic was stagnant (even went down a little bit).

Since then, I have been struggling to increase traffic, but I am seeing spikes of upto 418 visitors in one day because I'm publishing a post every day now, so hopefully that's the start of big traffic.. :)

Thanks for sharing. This is actually quite motivating. I'm glad you're getting traffic consistently! I'm hoping to reach that point, too. And again, I know this is not determinant... but just for fun... what's your post count? :p

You're very welcome! I'm happy that it's motivating for you.

I am at just over 130 posts. Planning to hit 180 by Dec 31, 2018. I am in a VERY competitive niche, and unfortunately, I just have to work harder to bring in more visitors, because of the competition.

Competition does not mean that it's impossible though.. :) Success will only take a little longer but it will come.

Already started seeing some financial success too.

I started my site a few months ago, it took me a little work to get consistent traffic and to not have any zero page view days.
Here we are a few months later and I average 80-100 clicks and page views a week. It feels good but of course I want to take that average up to 500, then 1,000, then 10,000 and so much more.

Awesome buddy! Keep hustling. :)

You are going to get a bunch of different answer from different people. There are a lot of factors, but when I was seeking this answer most people say the tipping point is around 100 posts.

Don't expect your traffic to explode one month to the next though, or you will be disappointed, Traffic grows over time.

For me, traffic comes for the post that answers questions and solves problems for people in my niche. I get little to no traffic from all of the feel-good posts I thought would be good. LOL.
