How To Get More Traffic With Pinterest
I've been a little quiet blogging at Wealthy Affiliate, but I've been busy creating more content for my websites.
Since I signed up to SWAG I have been working hard writing more content for my websites, it shouldn't be like this, I should be working on just one site at the time, but I already had these sites before I signed up to WA and I keep working on them.
This year, I've learned more about how to write content with my client on my mind and not to write content that makes myself happy.
Today I would like to share some good news I get every morning when I check how my sites are doing on Google Analytics.
I do check how many visits each one of my sites get every day to know how good or bad I'm doing.
As you might know already, one of my sites is about making "quilts".
This is a site I created a few years ago as a free blog with Blogger, but never made a penny for me, when I started WA training I learned a few things to improve that site, today is a WordPress site with a different domain and I had to start it once again from zero.
I started to create content for this site from what I like to do when I make quilts, but it went to becoming like a ghost town, :(
When I started to watch Jay's webinars and Kyle's videos about how to create content for a website with your client on my mind, I started to create some content for this site thinking on my client.
To get some traffic to a site, you need to work on a strategy... I'm using Pinterest to get more traffic for this site.
As soon as I publish a new blog post on my quilt's site, I share this content on 4 Social Media
- Google+
- YouTube
I would like to take some time to let you know how this site is doing when I share the content on Social Media.
Google+ - I see my post are getting more clicks on it, and people are starting to share my content on their accounts, from two weeks ago,
I guess this site will get some more traffic from this Social Media in the future.
Facebook - Nothing important at all, one or two visits to my site from it. :(
YouTube - I started to make videos sharing some tutorials and how to do lately, some of my videos are getting more visits than the others,
I'm starting to get some comments and some likes on my videos.
It takes a lot of work and time to create a new video to share, I am make one new video per week.
But I'll keep at it, and I believe my channel will get more visits soon.

I'm going to share here some pictures of some of my blog post, so you can see how many times each post has been shared.
If people share a blog post, this blog post get more visits :D
I have some content on this site that has now shares at all, but I can't blame Pinterest, it's just me, I haven't shared these content on Pinterest, as I started to work on it from a couple of months to today.
As you can see here, these two blog posts have gotten a few shares and visits!!!
This makes me happy!!!
Hey... this is getting better!!
One blog post got already over 1K shares and visits!!! That makes me really happy!!
And this blog post is a Winner!!! over 2K shares on Pinterest and visits to my site!!
Now, it's time for me to focus on this site and keep working on it!!
What I have learned from these numbers is that today I know what people who love to make quilts like to read on the internet.
My strategy will be on creating more content this way and share it on the Social Media where my client is.
Now... you may ask if this site is making already money for me.
No, it's not making money... yet, but I have great hopes on it.
I can't blame the site, it was me, I didn't have any affiliate links on this site!!!
Now it does!!
Will this site turn into a success story?
I guess it already is, I love to see how this site is going from a ghost town into a busy site with people visiting it from all over the world!
I'll keep working to create more content for it, with new plans to monetize it.
I already have some traffic visiting it daily, the future looks good!!
Wealthy Affiliate training is the best!!!

This was a beautifully inspirational post, Alejandra:). I definitely needed to read this, and gain some insight into how you've turned your site around! i get frustrated quite a bit since my niche is education, but it seems like a lot of parents these days aren't very interested in reading blogs on how to help their child either get caught up, or move ahead.
Maybe I need to be like you, and refocus on what my target audience wants to read. Thank you so much for taking your time to share your story:)
