Care giving
Just as it takes a village to raise a child , it takes a village to care for some one who is aging, chronically ill or living with disability. Becoming a caregiver is a major commitment, but you don't have to shoulder it alone. Remember that taking care of yourself give you the a ability to sustainably care for the person you are caring for. That is why the first step of any care giving journey involves building your care giving team

I take off my hat to anyone who can do this. I volunteered for 3 months at a local aged care establishment and it was terrible. This was a good and expensive place, but it takes a special person to clean the bottoms of the disabled and cope emotionally with those that repeatedly ask to be killed.
Most don’t understand the commitment needed.

Being a care giver is certainly no easy task Akwii...
I did it for my father in law for the last couple of years of his life when he came to live with us as he could no longer look after himself...
Family is family, so we must always do what needs to be done but I take my hat off to anyone who does this on a full time basis for years on end...
That is true It's difficult to handle but it needs commitment and determination
It does indeed my friend...
