My favorite tools I am using to improve my website
Hi there, it's been a while since I posted something. Today I would like to share my favourite tools I have picked up mainly by reading other members blogs and training tutorials.
I do hope you find them as useful as I do.
- To get free images I use pixabay.com. I haven't used any other providers since I find the images sufficient for my needs.
- To create my graphics for Pinterest, facebook and my articles I use canva.com. It's easy to navigate, user-friendly - just love it.
- Well, English is my second language, so I definitely needed help with grammar, spelling, punctuation etc. So I signed up with grammarly.com. You can even join their affiliate program. I did and reviewed them on my website. Absolutely helpful in writing and editing my posts.
- Plugins I have installed and love: SuMoMe and Yoast SEO. Especially the Yoast Seo is incredibly helpful when it comes to creating SEO friendly post. At the end of each post, there is a checklist that tells you what steps to take to improve your article.
- Also, when I installed the Yoast SEO I created a bing/yahoo account. As a new customer/user, Bing gave me an NZ$100 voucher. I used this voucher to create a few PPC campaigns (Kyle did a training about doing a PPC campaign) . It drives traffic to my site and I even had a few Amazon Sales. And the best part it didn't cost me anything. I still got NZ$18 left. Exciting stuff.
- Lastly, when I have spare time I go to site comments to offer comments and ultimately receive comments for my posts. Great tool for everyone I think.
Please feel free to add to the list by commenting below Would love to hear what you have found helpful when creating and building your website.
All the best

That's come great stuff and very useful tools. I personally just discovered canva.com and it's a great little site. I think I'm going to check out grammarly as well, but I'm not sure how well it will work on my laptop since i don;t have Word installed in it. But I do use Google docs and I'm not sure if it is compatible...I will soon find out!
Hi Brooklyn, Grammarly recently announced that you can download the app on Windows and Mac. There is also a free browser extension for Chrome, Safari and Firefox. I hope it helps. Anyhow, their customer service is great, just send an email with your questions.
Cheers Anke
That's awesome! Thank you so much for doing that for me Anke! I literally just downloaded it and seen the plugin for safari. i haven't checked it out to see if it works or if I did it right. Do you have the premium version or the regular version? I'm not sure if I'm going to upgrade mine or not, but I'll see how much I like this version first!
I definitely needed the premium version. :-) Yes, I would try it out first and see how you like it.
But even the premium is not correcting everything right. I'm still happy with the free version.
Hi Lauren, Yoast SEO is great. I think there are a few tutorials about it on WA.

Very interesting info about the Bing account. Do they give away $$ to anyone who signs in with them?
Thanks Anke!
As far as I know, they offer this voucher to everyone new who signs in with them. You get an email notification about it and then you have got 3 months to redeem it.
Cheers Anke

Hi Anke
What a wonderful post - a nice summary. Thanks.
I use Pixabay but still with All-In-One-SEO and often think I should give Yoast a try as people seem to rave about it.
All the best with your future development.
Richard
Thanks for the feedback Richard. I think it is worth giving Yoast a try
