New update to ChatGPT - A funny Thing Happened
The Backstory
In this blog post: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/1rudy1/blog/chatgpt-a-funny-thing-happened I explained how I had asked ChatGPT to give me a review of my website, which it did. Six hours later, I was unable to followup because Chat replied that it could not review 'live' websites.
Present Time
The other day, I received an email listing stories from the Medium Digest, and I came upon one that shared 6 ChatGPT prompts.
The first prompt was to use the McKinsey 7-S Framework. If you're not familiar with this, as I was also not, the framework addresses/assesses 7 points: structure, strategy, systems, skills, style, staff and shared values.
I thought I would give it a try to see how well my website was organized.
Here is the prompt:
"Analyze [MY PRODUCT/BUSINESS] using the 7S framework. How aligned are our strategy, structure, systems, shared values, skills, style, and staff?"
(When you use the prompt, replace with your own domain name.)
So, I decided to use the quoted prompt, inserting that same website. I was surprised at the effectiveness this framework provided me for my website. The real surprise was at how my website fared really highly within this framework.
Use this prompt to see the kind of results you receive. Of course, all chat AI are not the same and results may vary
Go ahead and post your thoughts in your comments about how your website rated.

Sounds like a gteat prompt Rudy!
I'll give it a go tomorrow when I break out my laptop again!
Cheers buddy!!
ππ
Awesome!
This prompt offers a great insight into the organizational aspect of a website.
Let us know what you think after you use the prompt.
Rudy
This is very interesting, and a prompt I will add to my prompt list file. I got a decent result with areas recommended for future improvement, which I knew about and I am slowly working on.
Thanks for sharing.
Nancy
I also checked out the Medium article. I especially love the prompt: β Explain [COMPLEX TOPIC] like Iβm a 5-year-old β ...So me!

Hi Rudy!
I tried this in ChatGPT 3.5. I'm cheap! I have not chosen to pay for 4.o yet; I probably should. I guess I am still waiting to see what AI is all about.
So I plugged in what you suggested into ChatGPT 3.5, and it responded with this:
To analyze (I put my domain URL here) using the McKinsey 7S framework, we need to evaluate the following elements: Strategy, Structure, Systems, Shared Values, Skills, Style, and Staff. Since I don't have direct access to the internal details of your website and organization, I'll provide a general framework that you can apply to your situation. Please share specific details if you want a more tailored analysis.
And it did give me a list.
That's interesting. I will try a couple of other Ai sites to see what results they provide.
I also used ChatGPT 4, without logging in. They provided me with the type of results that #FrankB-1 provided in his reply.
Rudy
Hi Howard
You can copy and paste the text of your home page and a few pillar posts into ChatGPT 3.5 to analyze before applying the McKinsey 7S framework criteria.π

Hi Rudy
This is a summary of the results I got for my guitar site using ChatGPT 4o:
1. Strategy: Well-defined and focused on SEO-optimized content to drive traffic and generate revenue through affiliate links and ads .
2. Structure: Supports agile content production, which is essential for keeping up with market trends.
3. Systems: Effective systems for content management and performance tracking are in place.
4. Shared Values: Clear values around passion for music, accuracy, and user experience, fostering a cohesive mission.
5. Skills: The team has strong skills in writing, SEO, and guitar knowledge, which are crucial for site success.
6. Staff: Motivated and skilled staff who are aligned with the siteβs goals.
7. Style: Collaborative management style that fosters innovation and quick adaptation while maintaining accountability and results orientation.
Overall, this site demonstrates strong alignment across the 7S framework elements, supporting its mission to provide valuable content and maintain a competitive edge in the guitar niche.
Thanks!

Thanks, Frank!
I also received very positive results.
Thanks for sharing your results.
What are your thoughts about using this format?
Rudy
Hi Rudy
I think it has the potential to yield a strong analysis that can identify useful opportunities for improvement. π
Keep on Rockinβ! π€
Frank πΈ
I agree, Frank. This provides us with a different view, one rhat we might not have considered.
Hopefully, this will be a tool that people can use to check their website before making any changes.
We can be a picky lot, lol....

That prompt is a keeper Rudy. Sort of reverse engineering the prompt you might use to have it write an article.
Michael.
I had asked for a website review, which I received. This prompt delivered info that my website was in excellent shape on all points!
Yes, I bet you could engineer the prompt, although it is specifically geared towards a specific tool, the 7S Framework.
I think by using such a tool, you can get a good review without asking for one directly, especially since you won't be able to get a review due ro the website being'live'.
Which is odd, because most websites are 'live', and are from where chatbots retrieve their information.
Post an engineered prompt you create and share the results in your reply!
Rudy
Yeah I will Rudy, I need to go out now though.
Michael.
