Changing Things Up For The Better!
Well guys and gals,
I was starting to get sick of writing all the time so I thought I'd try something different to keep me from stalling.
I've still got a long way to go and I'm only half way through the training videos but I thought I'd change things up a bit and concentrate on the cosmetic side of my website.
I've started noticing a rise in site views and I guess that's partly to do with the amount of content I've been writing on my blog. It's still not that much but it obviously is enough to start getting noticed.
For this reason, I decided to spend what I thought would be a small amount of time, which ended up to be a couple of days, focusing on the look of the site and improving it. This could have been an even bigger task to complete if I didn't have a little knowledge in HTML and CSS. The color layout is quite two tone too but I think it will appeal to a broad range of readers.
I also found quite a few grammatical errors so i pretty much proofread all my posts and made the necessary changes. Hence, the importance of proofreading.
It's been pretty crazy for me these last couple of days but I think I'm well on the way to producing a great site.
Anyway, I hope that you can take a look at it sometime and give me feedback here or on the site. In particular, would you please let me know what you think of the Facebook icon in the sidebar? And the use of image linking to go to '5 Steps To Build A Website'??? I created those myself to hopefully give it something different.

So, if you consider yourself a pro writer let us all know what you do to break the boredom of repetitive writing?
Thanks again and HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! :)

I'm no expert, but just going by appearances Zac, you've done a very professional job. Your site is clear, easy to navigate, with lots of valuable information - cannot miss the Facebook icon at the side. I particularly admire your use of different style/size/colour fonts because that is what I am looking at doing on my site. I've just managed to change the content font from size 12 size 16 - very proud of myself! It looks like you might eventually make a passive income from this site - that would be the ideal, wouldn't it?
cheers thanks for the feedback. It's always helpful to hear what others have to say. Much appreciated.
Hi Zac. I've have been spending days on my own website lately. I changed the theme and of course that just roller coasted. Blue is my favourite colour, it is very appealing on a website. The photo at the bottom, Steps to Build a Website, links back to itself. Maybe your WA affiliate link may be better? Your hints and tips menu blogs are amazingly professional looking. Excellent work! One thing, may I ask how you got the fold in your blogs so that you can only see them partially?
I think what your talking about is showing only excerts. To do this go to settings>reading>check summary. otherwise it maybe due to the theme I'm using - Esplanade. Hope this helps.
i also checked the link for 5 Steps to build a website and its is right. Not sure what happened for you. appreciate the feedback tho. :)
Hello Zac
I enjoyed your site. Good for you for spending the time to tidy it up. Anyway you have a very good looking professional site. Just one small thing. Your link to go to Wealthy Affiliate on your Getting Started Page - opens in the same window. I would have it open in a separate window (for those who are just curious). It means you keep them on your site if they're not ready to sign up.
