I'm not a writer...
So far, I've chosen my niche, made a final decision on my domain name, completed my level 1 training, upgraded to premium, created the basic framework for my website, completed my About Me & Privacy Policy page and met some awesome people while networking in WA. All of which I am proud of but I am stuck now and I've been stuck for days, simply because...well, I'm NOT a writer.
Sure, I can read and I can write but lets face it...I'm NOT a writer. I do not know how to create 'content' and wouldn't even know where to start with 'creative and engaging content'. I've written term papers and I've written essays to pass my exams in High School but I'm NOT a writer. How would I know what to write? Yes, I did my keyword research like I was told to but how do I create content with it? How do I make it interesting and engaging and even funny? How would I be able to keep people coming back with my content? I am NOT a writer.
Sure, I can learn and I can practice but how long will that take me before I am 'ok enough'? How many rewrites will I have to do? How many drafts will I have to eventually delete because I have no idea where it was going? How many hours do I have to spend on one post?
If I cant write engaging content, how will I be good at this affiliate marketing? How will I be able to keep my website going? How will I manage? I'm NOT a writer.
Sigh...yes I am a little frustrated and just needed to vent a little. Sorry guys. Any advice or motivation would be good

Yuwn. You have nothing to worry about girl. You can write. You just wrote this engaging blog here! You are a WRITER. What you mean is that you are not a professional writer. So what. You don't need to be.
Don't worry about trying to make it engaging and interesting. That will happen naturally. And writing is like any skill it take practice and you have to keep doing it. And sometimes things that you write will be better than others. But that's okay -it's what happens.
So put aside your fears and frustrations - because those are keeping you stuck and take one of those keywords you've researched and get writing.

There is no reason to panic or worry. Honestly if you are solving peoples problems they arent looking at how good you write. In fact I have always been happier reading someone that is just normal when it comes to writing. I dont like the people who can write to take peoples money for bad products.
Just be yourself, take your time and you will do fine. There is no doubt in my mind.
OH COME ON ALREADY BARBADOS!!!! Stop your I'm NOT a writer crap! I'm not a writer either but I can do it AND SO CAN YOU! Remember, I've read your work before and did you here me say you suck?NO! Come on Yuwn you're better than this negativity. You will and are doing great!

And like Kyle says in his training, "Don't try to be perfect in your writing of your content." I know you can pull it off. I have confidence in you.
Hey Robert, thank you for your encouragement as always. I know I know just that I've been having such a hard time coming up with ideas and actually putting it on paper. Seems like I'm getting no where.
Everyone has been so encouraging to me that I will stop my with my negative attitude and stop being so hard on myself

Let it flow no matter what subject you choose. You will get better by doing!

Write like you are explaining something to someone face to face. It may sound silly but I keep a family pic on my desk and sorta pretend I am talking to them when I type.
Well, if you are NOT a writer, you sure fooled me! Being a writer is not like a job that needs an application or training. You just transfer what you think to paper or computer screen. There you have it. What you wrote there is an excellent piece of writing. You have all the basic grammar and English and spelling, it's in paragraphs and I can identify with much of it (except the denial of being a writer). I think more that you have hit a mini-plateau and are not quite sure where to go next. I CAN tell you that there will be others who back me up and say Oh yes you ARE!

Keep in mind that while you are not self-engaging ti YOURSELF (after all, who wants to look in a mirror all the time) those who reads your words ARE quite interested and want to know more. So, write on! :)
Um...read your post...you are an excellent writer. You kept me interested and I had to find out what happened. Those are the hallmarks of good writing. I think you need to take this style...you...to your website and write. This is what folks want to read, not a discourse on politics or science (yawn) but about you, what you think, how you connect, and why should I read more of your stuff. You have this writing thing nailed when you write as yourself. :)
It is. That's who people want to read. We can go to Wikipedia for the rest. Trust yourself, like the others are telling you above.
Just scrolled through some of the comments. Are you convinced? You will do fine with your website...and add blogs here, you have a way of engaging people. :)

If you are a writer, you won't be here as you are making a lot of money from your publication. Look at mine, I am not a good writer as well. So, don't worry and be natural. Practice makes perfect!
