Needing Help

So I've been at WA for about three months now and I think I'm over the "honeymoon period" with affiliate marketing. I've been diligently going through the training, setting up my website, writing articles, setting up links, etc. The thing is, I haven't gotten any commisions yet. I'm on my "last gasp" financially, so not having made any commsions is a big issue right now.

I love the community here at WA and so I thought I'd write and ask for help. I have a history of starting new endeavors and not being able to finish them, and so before I leave WA I wanted to ask for concrete advice as to how I can up my game--do I need to change my niche? (Right now it's natual ways to overcome anxiety and depression) Do I need to do more promotion? Have some more high-ticket items to promote? Any advice would be much appreciated

You have gotten a lot of great advice here. Just stick with it you can do it in time.

Hi Julianne,

Amelita gives you excellent advice, especially on the yearly Premium. It's less than a $1 a day.

3 months is definitely not a long time to expect commissions to roll in.

Stick with your original niche, follow the training and do all the tasks. Keep writing quality content and lots of it. Ask questions when you get stuck.

Your sales will come as long as you persevere and don't give up.

Monica

I am sorry to hear about your financial position. Affiliate marketing takes time, that is for sure. Three months in, although it seems like a long time, is very short.

If you have the means to keep going, patience and persistence are more than half the battle in my opinion.

Hi there, be sure to keep your focus to get through the training all the way. By then, you should have a great foundation set in place and be able to understand it all as a whole.

I wonder how many posts you have? You will want to aim for at least 30-50 posts to start getting traffic. Then, aim for 100 and eventually, you will want 400 posts then even more. The bigger your site is, the more outreach you will have and the better you will rank in the search engines.

Three months of regular posting is long enough to BEGIN to gain Googles trust. Now is not the time to quit. Do your best to scrape together the $ because it will be worth it.

You mentioned you are the type to not want to finish things you start. You also asked if you should change your niche. So these two things pertain to each other in a way. If you can stick to your website and write even just a couple paragraphs a day, you will get there.

It is best to keep going with your original niche if you want to make profit sooner than later. You already have 3 months invested. Do you really want to start over?
Also, if you get bored easy, you can start another website for "fun" but remember, this will take away time spent on the one site. I really advise you to stick to building out one until it is getting good traffic.

If you are following the training, you are likely promoting enough.

I wonder, have you tried to share your WA link with anyone? If you can take some time to personally show some friends or family around the WA platform, you can get a couple referrals and that will pay for your membership cost.
When you can afford to go yearly, it will save you about 40% and is well worth it!

Hope this helps. Remember, when you write a post here, it also gets indexed and published on the search engines. This can also bring in referals here. If someone finds one of your WA posts and joins, you will get the credit.

I wish you all the best
-Amelita

thank you, this is great advice.

Your welcome, glad to help.
A lot of people come to this crossroads. Hopefully you can keep moving forward here :)

Hi - it really is early days yet. I took a look at your site (you mentioned it in a previous post). Although, you have been here 3 months, its only for the last month that you have been consistently adding content to your site. As far as I can see, you only have about 9 articles on it. And they are quite short, with some being only around 400 words, and none of them seems to be the recommended minimum of 1000 words.

Realistically, it takes at least 6 months to win Google's trust and having a minimum of 30 long-form articles.

Do you have any social media accounts? If you were to share on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest etc. that could create some interest.

Just a heads-up as regards Amazon, you are not allowed to put the price of the products in your articles. And you don't have an affiliate disclosure which is mandatory.

I suggest you just continue to add further content on a regular basis.

If you really feel as though you need to leave WA, do remember that you would be given 30 days to move your website to another hosting provider.

Great advice as always Diane. xx

I will flush out my articles today. How do I write an affiliate disclosure?

Hi - you can find numerous examples on the internet you can adapt, but make sure you include the following phrase, exactly as it is.

"As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases".

Hi! Can you please provide some info? it'll help me to understand your case better.

1. How are you getting traffic to your website?
2. How have you set up your offer?
3. What is the url of your website?

I haven't made anything either, and I've been at it longer. But I'm not going to quit. Most of us here are in for the long haul and hopeful that one day we can make some income. I recommend you stick with it and complete the training. There are so many things to learn. See some of magistudios training too, in the Live Events section. He has some good ideas about increasting traffic.
I think your website is a good idea too. People that are suffering from anxiety and depression need hope. My family has been affected by those. I am going to PM you with my site and hope you will do the same with your site. Mine is natural pain relief.
Barb

This is a wonderfully supportive answer Barb. I agree the website idea is a fabulous one. I have suffered in the past with anxiety and depression, and think support online would have been a great help.

Thanks Sara. We need each other.
Barb

yes we do Barb! Have a great evening xx

love this idea. what does Pm mean?

Sorry! It means Private Message. You can click on the person's profile and in the upper right is a tabe for Private Message. Oh I see you figured it out cuz you sent me your website. Thanks! I'll check it out.
Barbara

Hi There, I understand the frustration you are facing, But before we can assist we need more info about what you have been doing. How many sites do you have, what niche, what are your promotion methods?

Hang in there. Three months isn't a long time when it comes to getting a lot of web traffic and commissions. It sounds like you have a good niche.

it difficult ti get commission from affiliate marketing but i will advice you to try adsense . like me , i use media net , you can apply too
