So I have a couple of static pages besides "about us" and "getting started". One is called "social media marketing"...that is or should be a category, right?
Are categories on your blog just the subjects of your pages?

It does not have to be a category page. It can contain ordinary pages in sub-menu. But it can contain sub-pages and posts together in the menu, or only posts, and then you could call it a category page.
Might be a silly question, but is that article just for members here or is it for public consumption?
Joe, thanks for responding... Here's the link and of course I would site Kyle and Carson as the Author. https://s3.amazonaws.com/wealthyaffiliate/download/TrafficExplosion3.0-TheNewRules.pdf

I'm not certain but I don't think you will get credit if someone downloads that PDF and then decides to join WA via that link in Twitter.
I could be wrong but the PDF document does not appear to embed our WA affiliate links.
I think you should ask Kyle specifically if it is okay to give away Premium content in that way or if there is a way to embed your links into the document.
A better option might be to use the Affiliate Link, which would be your ID, that comes with Kyle post. That will link any referral to you.
Otherwise, anyone who joins WA from that sharing will sign up directly under WA admin - I'm sure Kyle or Carson won't mind, but they would be happy for you to get the referral.
I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong about this.
