Hi Will. I've been with WA since late August and still don't have my website up yet but I am not disheartened. I have a technical background and yet IM has been "challenging" for me. Let's just say that it's taken time for me to wrap my brain around some of the concepts. If you want to take the easy route, write articles about something you have knowledge about. The article will basically write itself. Prior to that, tho, I'd be thinking about your niche market and building a website name before you buy a domain name. Maybe you want to cover lots of different areas with your site such as motorcycles or whatever. Try to think about your target audience before you buy your domain name. I'm not expert, that's for sure. I haven't made a sale yet and you already know my site isn't up yet. But I've had to go back and reread stuff and take notes so that it sinks in. Try to dedicate 2 hours a day if possible and don't get distracted! It's so easy to start surfing in other areas! Why don't you just start writing about something that you know a lot about as a warmup? You'd be surprised how fast the words flow if you write about something you actually know about without having to do a lot of research. I'm a newbie too but hope this helps.

Hey. Have you gone through the entire Action Plan? Believe me when I say I've tried every shiny new product out there for the last 2 years and WA is the best there is. Follow the Action Plan diligently, step by step. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. (I hate cliches lol). Study the tutorials. I actually print off some of the really good stuff and put the sheets in a binder. I think one of the most important aspects is to keep focused and organized and not go off in three or four directions at once.

I think that Jat Debeaune has given you the best advice here. I would say that Pot Pie Girl's methods definitely work, but you have to do as she says ALL OF IT. There are tools that you can buy to help I like Market Samurai as it covers niche research monetization and getting backlinks. It also can post direct to WordPress blogs. Other than that do not waste money on the "Guru" products. I find one of the hardest things is sorting the good from the rubbish (there is a lot of rubbish!).

The secret is to choose someone who works in a similar way to you who has been successful take what they do and see if you can do it even better. When I learned to sail I started by trying to beat the boat in front, until eventually I was in the first 3. Then eventually one day I beat 5 World and 9 National Champions on handicap over a weekend. They were all sailing their own boats. I did this one step at a time and I was 32 and started sailing at 14! Anything this worthwhile takes time and a structured plan/approach!

Listen and learn the company here is great and Jennifer (Pot Pie Girl) is one of the best from whom you can learn.

Consider joining the WA Article Club. I too thought I could never compete in promoting WA. But the club showed me a few things, at no costs. In a month's time you'll have a campaign up and running. You'll be forced to take action and you'll see what it takes to build any successful campaign. If at the end of 30 days you still feel the same about that niche (which I doubt), you can back off your efforts. All you will have lost is the $10 you dropped on your domain name. Don't let your "lack of experience" make you think you're not a candidate. Best of luck!

I second jatdebeaune's comment. That's a solid plan to follow, although it could be a little more detailed -- which is what WA is for! Don't worry about failing, just do, do, do.

WA presents marketing in all its internet forms. Yet it is stronger in some areas than in others. A lot of that, I believe, is the internet marketing historey of Kyle and Carson.

Two quick points:
1) PPG's stuff is based on her success in her marketing forms. She has done well, and you would be wise to learn from her.

2) Website development is probably one of the weaker WA presentations. WA IS their website. I develop websites outside of WA, and they are all based on the notion that quality content is king. People don't go on line just to buy hard products or info products. The info market is majorly saturated. Find some micro niches and DOMINATE them . James Jones's Micro Niche Finder is an incredible tool. Use it. Research the niche thoroughly. "Dig", like Janet says. Then build. Take action!

It was a wise choice not to promote WA yet until you have had some success yourself. Also, there are some very seasoned marketers selling WA. That's stiff competition. Why do you think you need Adsense? You don't need Adsense or Adwords at this point. Here's what I would do: pick a niche, do keyword research to narrow down your niche, or as they say here "dig" to get more specific. Then get a domain that contains your niche keyword or phrase as the first 3 words. Good if it's a longtail keyword because that will be more competititve. Make sure your keyword gets good traffic and low competition. Opinions vary on that. WA instruction says competition no more than 5000. Go into the keyword tool here to find your AP (article power). Get an AP of 8 or more. Then get some products from Commission Junction, Shareasale, or Amazon, and start writing good informative articles on your subject and submit them to Ezine Articles and Articles Base. If you want to submit the same articles to multiple sites, the, submit them first to Ezine Articles. They want to be first. That will give you a real good start and it's not overwhelming. BTW, I don't bother with Squidoo. However, if you don't have a website yet, Squidoo will be good because it'll be your landing page where you can put links to your products and a link in your article to link back to Squidoo. Ideally, if you can make a small site or blog with WordPress that is your domain name, I would do that and link your articles to your own site or blog. Hope that helps you.

One step at a time my friend. Do the tutorials. They get you set up or all the good stuff. Don't let the information overload overwhelm you. Look at the Squidoo 101 tutorial its a good place to start. If you don't have all the backlinks right off the bat that's OK. Just look over what's there and build something you are proud of. One step at a time and it will come. You don't have to do it all today.
