Lol. I wanted a web presence. For years. I departed from teaching guitar 8 years ago to start a print publishing endeavor (I know, terrible timing) which failed in 2009 when the economy tanked. I learned a lot from it though, including the most important lesson about myself - that I was meant to play and teach music, not publish print media. It has been a difficult struggle the last 4 years building my client base back up from scratch. I knew I needed a web presence but had no idea how to get one.

Enter Wealthy Affiliate.

I don't remember how exactly I stumbled on WA, but I know I was looking around for info about how to learn about making my own website for my teaching business. Money has been tight, and I got immediately excited as I learned about this community. That was 34 days ago.

I haven't yet made any money as an affiliate, though I have two sites up which are experiments to that effect. Still learning, being patient. I'm starting Phase 3 of Bootcamp now. My sites are starting to get some traffic, I have had some clicks on my Amazon Banners, and I have gotten a handful of people to come here as referrals. Honestly, I have made only a couple dollars but I'm only at the beginning of this journey.

The funny thing is that I waited until 3 days ago to build my third website, the one for teaching. the original reason I stumbled on this place to begin with. I built it quick, I like it so far - got to mess around with the .css file and just risked messing with the main style.css knowing I could always reinstall the template. (BTW, it's PeteWalrath.com.) The last three days of building this site I have been motivated to set up some more social profiles including Linked In and share my site on Facebook as of last night. Guess what?

I already got new students from my efforts. Each new private student to my business equates to a couple thousand bucks per year. Incredible. Why did I let myself wait so long to find this place, which is already having such a positive impact on my life? Maybe fear. I had been in a rut, feeling kind of like I had lost my identity and confidence regarding my career over the last few years.

I got them back. Thanks to this community in large part. It was the right thing at the right time for me and TOTALLY worth the $47 bucks a month already.

This place, thanks to Kyle and Carson, is real. It is something to be proud of which delivers REAL VALUE. Really refreshing to see, ya know?

I'm just getting started. :) Learning SO MUCH. Thanks WA.
