I am still here
Hi everyone.
Just want to let you know that I am still alive in WA and trying my best to be kicking.
I have only recently returned from a wonderful vacation in Florida. Whilst I was there, relaxing in the pool and hot tub at our lovely villa (yep, I know - someone has to do it), I took the chance to take stock of my progress within Wealthy Affiliate.
After taking said stock, I finally admitted to myself that I have failed at every single goal that I set. Still doing coursework, still doing boot camp, still doing research, still bookmarking wonderful training, still...............well, you know how it goes!
After giving myself a good telling off, in no uncertain terms, I went into a major huff and refused to speak to myself for a few hours. Finally, I relented and gave myself a chance to explain to myself the reasons for this monumental fail, and there are quite a few.
1. I truly had not realised how little time I have to spend on my websites due to my commitments to my little ebay business (on-the-spot income) and my family. More importantly, I am the in-house babysitter of my wonderful grand-daughter so allowing my son and daughter-in-law to earn the full time incomes that keeps "little Hurricane Hollie" in pre-school lavishness (good word, Lynn).
2. My husband still has no clue that I have embarked on an affiliate journey! He thinks that the time I spend nightly at my laptop is reading about "all that conspiracy theory stuff" that bores him to tears. So while he has taken ownership of the tv remote control, his lovely wife is spending mental time with David Icke.
3. I seem to cook and clean alot more than I thought and, probably, more than necessary but, hey-ho, you cannot take a duster away from a determined woman.
4. I am sure that there are more reasons but I decided to give myself a break.
Having listened to myself, and considered my arguments, I realised that all is not totally lost.
I really enjoy researching and collating material, so the time taken, and the reams of paper filed for future use, will be very beneficial going forward.
Little HH will be going to primary school (can't remember what it is called in the USA) for 6 hours per day in one year from now. This will free my time humungously and allow me to set my muses free and get down to Affiliate Business. Yep, I will miss her and yep, it will be a bit of a wrench, but it happens to all Grans and I just have to pull myself together and come to terms with it. I think I will manage!
So, for the next year, I will plod along in my own inimitable way and continue to enjoy the time I have with Hollie (and the rest of my family - I quite like them too). After that, I will be jumping in at the deep end of the Wealthy Affiliate Pool and releasing my inner dolphin.

Things fall into place at the right time and it's sounds as though next year is your time to be full-on with WA.
