Hi, Victoria.

I've been watching this post since you published it, hoping someone would come along and provide a solution (for your sake, but also so I'd know what to do if it ever happened to me).

Were the couple of comments you got on your other post about this issue helpful for solving the problem? (That was smart, posting in a different classroom)! I don't use Site Content yet, mostly because it doesn't allow publishing as a draft. But - I'm also hesitant to use it because it still seems to have several bugs. In addition to the problem you're having, here are just a few other members have had: I hope you find the solution soon. When you do, will you let us know on this post? That would be a great help to others who have this same problem.

Good luck!

Oh, I forgot - I mentioned your problem to kdforsman (Karen). Here's what she said. (You can't tell by the link, but it goes directly to her comment): If you need more help, I think Karen would be a great person to ask. (She's very tech-savvy)!

Sharon

Well i wrote my reply and it did not want to publish. I copied my reply because i just well did and thought the added quote was the hold up took it off put it back and guess what. Everything vanished ...my hard work again...but i copied it. :)

Ok there was no solution. Jay did a training on site content, nothing came to mind from that. Yet after that was over still perplexed,

I was at WalMart looking around and was speaking with a young worker who seemed to know a lot about tech stuff. He asked me what I was using...told him I was on my tablet at the time. He said my tablet could have done it with so many windows opened. That the memory in my tablet is very small...Yet that doesnt explain the time before completed article hit publish it disappeared. That one took twice as long to write and complete so it should have had auto saves for sure as well as my own mannual......I have no real answer, and Ive waited to answer...wanted to see if I would hear anything from support. But no news is just no news :))) in this and the first case...

Im just happy I still am alive, have multiple devices I can use and that I have the ability to make decisions based on a now great memory and plenty of domain purchases to start afresh. As well as great abilities to learn more, be more, with great ideas and super guidance. Ive got a lot more in me and if I believe i can then i can. If I know then I know, ive never wasted a moment wanting anything but mine and what I can do with my own talents....so this is called: Set up...not a set back. A set up for future online success in not years... :) whenever it happens and it will be in record time for me! Hehehe:)

Yes these things are frustrating, time consuming and we the writers take the loss. However, good wins. So Im fighting the good faith fight...it did not make me quit.

I love you all and hope none of you ever experience this,

Have a wonderful rest of your week. Maybe this will just make the reader a bit more cautious. Hit manual save so many times that should this happen you can say...i hit save! :)))...note autosave at
the bottom of the writing page you are on...it indicates it is saving and when it did last...in other words continue as I have done to make mental notes of what is going on.

As for my decision, it was not really what I thought I would ever be doing. At least not 6 weeks ago. I completely dismantled my sites. Saving all content...Will be redoing all fresh....it is more work but if something was going on then this will tell...a lot.

I can say its alot of work but Im going to get it all up and running growing in no time. All this experience makes me know I can do better and faster....lovin WA and enjoying my first real attempts outside my sites to talk about my businesses. Thinking social media is a great waybto adverstise and promote...eventually I will show the fruit from all this sowing and watering and fertilizer privided so nicely for me by "fate"... :)

With love,
Victoria

I went yhru these twice...thank you fir posting them...no answer nor did the person get one either...

Oh my goodness, what a nightmare! You have a remarkably positive attitude, considering all the frustrations you've had with this issue.

I'm sorry you couldn't find a solution and I wish you the very, VERY best of luck going forward.

Sharon

Thanks Sharon...I will not give up...already started my new sites. Hoping for zero issues of this kind. Thanks. For stopping by ..

When you are developing your titles with keyword searches adding a few words. Should you use punctuation?

Or should you just use your keywords only?

You should use titles that make sense and you should also make sure that you use punctuation so that it makes sense.

Yes that makes sense. Chucling. Seriously though I agree. Little by little this all comes together (learning) and becomes clearer as I go! Thank you

You are quite welcome!

Hi V

I just type the title using the keywords making sure it's has a catchy title

God bless
Naomi

Yes a catchy title is good. I am getting better but since we are supposed to have kw in title and first paragraph...well sometimes the kw I s short and title not appealing at all without a few more words. Thank you, will be working on catchy titles

If you think about titled as headlines then punctuation is not as necessary. Since headlines are generally more eye catching, I would say it's a good idea to think about phrasing things a little like a headline. But don't lose your keyword just to make a headline!

Thanks Kat Im thinking there is a time and place for punctuation in a title. Maybe an exclamation mark. However, I have stayed away from punvtuation. Just needed help from the experts here and I love the advice given. Thank you

Google generally ignores punctuation unless to reveal exact results in a search.

Optimize for your users first and the search engines second.

Thats good info to know, thank you

If it is needed then yes I do use it. Not sure if it's entirely necessary but if you are asking a question within your heading I think it looks better. I never use the full stop in a heading though. xxxx

In the training, it was highly encouraged to use more than just your keywords in the title to make it more engaging.

Punctuation is also important, as it adds professionalism to your title, and in some cases will even make it easier to read. So I would say yes, include necessary and relevant punctuation!

Thank you! Brittaney. Very helpful. It seemed just the kw would flag google and hiding it amongst other words would make it flow. Just dont remember punctuation in titles. But I think it makes better sense! Thanks have a great evening. Back to finish this off...
