Improving Google Rankings After Taking an HCU Hit (Update)
Following up on my previous WAvlog regarding this topic (post), I want to share how 7 posts I've updated on my Nature site have done over the past 28 days vs the previous ones. In 90%+ of cases there has been a steady improvement in rankings and clicks across the board.
The basic idea is to stick to old school SEO methods, but make the content a bit easier to read and more organized, to the point. I also changed a few titles around to do this, but it seems to be vibing with Google.
Note: This approach I'm using is ideally recommended for people who have existing sites that have taken a hit from the HCU updates in Google.
