How to Make Content Improvement to (Potentially) Boost Your Google Rankings

Following the HCU updates in September 2023 and March of this year, a lot of site have been hit very hard (including mine). I've been experimenting with different ways to improve my site's rankings on Google and thus far one particular approach seems to be showing some results and that is this:

Making your content very factual, to the point and organized (example above) while still following very basic SEO results (target popular keywords with low competition, internally link across the post, 1 external link and most of what Jay teaches throughout his webinars here in WA). I've been applying this template not just to the Nature Site in question but also a new scenic train ride site I began building in March of this year and so far it's growing too.

I still believe Google SEO has potential BUT at the same time if you site has been hit, I would recommend spending more time on growing it outside the Google SEO realm (if that's your main project) while focusing on growing it the way I showed you in this video as the last objective.

For me personally I have begun growing new SEO sites, doing more PPC and YouTube videos and those take top priority over fixing my nature site's results.

Hi Vitaliy. Thank you for the video and valuable points there. I have a question. What if my website is related to tutorials. I have to provide a lot information. I understand that reviewing the product needs to be straight to the point. But educational posts might be boring to people. What do you think about it?

Why not infuse some fun or activities into your content so people feel connected and engaged? I am sure you can customize your content to suit different tastes. You may need to test what works and discard what doesn’t, doing it one element at a time. Creativity is limitless!

The right people wanting to read a tutorial will stick around in my experience. I'd say in that case though, still keep it simple and to the point but maybe add in a few personal stories on that (like don't make this mistake when doing so and so). Remember this particular approach I'm talking about is for existing websites and content that has taken a hit from the HCU update so if this is for new content you're making, I wouldn't worry about that.

You're right. Very good point.

Most welcome, I look forward to hearing the good news :)

Thank you Vitaliy.

Thanks for the info. I usually try to keep to the point in my posts and often find that they run to less than 1,000 words - say 650 words on average - when I am not using AI. Don't know if these posts are too short. However, I do link them to other articles I have written, which I hope that helps.

Most of the articles I've edited have gone down in word count but it doesn't matter, this template, as long as it sticks to the point and answers the questions is enough.

Hi Vitaliy thank for these tips.

just a quick question with the Ai platform we here .

Do you have a preference between the professional writer or the casual one we have.

I'm curious to know.

thank Andre

I use the casual writer one, especially for my scenic train ride site, but above that I still keep it to the point and simple to read.

Thank you Vitaliy always good to know what others think of using and true keep to the point especially now days
Appreciate your reply
Andre 😎☺️

Thanks, Vitaly. I recently started reviewing my articles on my first site, and the improvements have definitely helped my ranking. Your thoughts here sound very good. I will employ them and see how it goes.

Dave
