Commission Junction $130+ Case Study: How I Promote It's Products
I've been dipping my feet into different kinds of affiliate programs, one of which is Commission Junction, a long running network. I mainly promote them via one of their merchants which is Tripadvisor, a popular travel website where people can book flights, hotels, tours, etc... and also get personalized details on the destinations they wish to travel to.
What I did/do is discuss popular travel destinations on my nature site then link people to relevant tripadvisor content like reviews on the area, tours in the area to check out, hotels and other recommendations and all of these are affiliate links. I send traffic to these pages via Google/Bing (organic) and Pinterest.
Rinsing and repeating this for multiple popular destinations and being patient with it can potentially scale pretty well. Travel affiliate program are plentifiul out there and this is one example of how you can monetize through this business.

Thank you for this video. I have Expedia as one of my affiliates from Commission Junction and I have a whole page of places to go to enjoy the cabin life in different parts of the US.
But I wanted to share with you that CJ has a newer program, (at least to me), where they are affiliated with Amazon. The program is called PartnerBoost - Amazon Marketplace.
They pay a much higher commission than going direct to Amazon. Their products are limited but I wanted to share this with you and your audience just in case you did not know about them. I was invited to join so that is how I heard about them.

Thanks Mike I had heard about it but I'm currently promoting tripadvisor which is part of CJ. Not sure if amazon is tied into this. If they are I'd take a look.
Yes, Amazon is now tied into CJ but at a much higher commission level. I have already listed several items and the commission rates range from 8% up to 20%. I intermix them with my regular Amazon Associate products and it is working great. Mike

Oh I'm sure there's lots of promotional opportunities for tourist spots there Stephen! Look around Tripadvisor first to see if this is the case, then I'd consider signing up.
