Are you Ready to Start Email Marketing? Quick Checklist!
Starting email marketing can potentially be very lucrative for your online business but many people are not fully prepared to get involved with that because they don't contain the baseline knowledge of an online business.
An email marketing business is really an ADD ON to a baseline business and it's a part II in the sequence of building steps. The 2 main things you need to have are this:
- Baseline understanding of making websites/content/navigation (and have 1 set up)
- A traffic source coming to that website (no traffic = no email collections)
Having these 2 things in place are the fundamentals you need before getting into this. Let me know if you have any questions!

Email Marketing is vital to remarketing your content regardless of intent to a captive audience of subscribers. The more times you are able to add value to a life the more trust that life owes you in return.
What service/tool do you suggest for creating pop ups and collecting email addresses? Thanks.
Veronica
If you are not needing ecommerce features the tools in LeadsLeap include an unlimited autoresponder called SendSteed. I pay $27 a month for pro to have the unlimited responder features but the basic email broadcast tool is free.
I have email marketing for my health site because there is an ample amount of traffic there.
However, I do not have email marketing for my mmo site because traffic is very low since the Core update.
It hasn't been easy. I am trying to complete traffic training to possibly receive free traffic.
Vitaliy, the problem is that I can only work on one website at a time. It doesn't help either when you ask a question in class andit is not answered. No worries, though!
Have a Happy 2025!
Maxine :)
Hi Maxine, focus on just 1 site for now, the one you like the most and can share your most high quality content through. Plan B isn't going anywhere, so focus on plan A's growth for now.
I do like the thought of email marketing and using social media to stay off of the search engine ranking roller-coaster. My sites still need traffic growth.
I do however, have email set up for both….for someday.

Great reminder that email marketing isn’t step one—it’s step two. I’m just starting to grow traffic to my site, so this checklist helped me see where I’m at and what to focus on next. Thanks for breaking it down so clearly!
