i am still trying to understand why oh why do I need a website to promote WA ? why not just advertise my link on social media like Facebook and twitter as I am doing now ,,,, this

The real problem is when you have a website you own it and are less vulnerable to changes in algorithms that control the websites like facebook, twitter etc.

I've known people to get wiped out because facebook changed their advertising algorithm and it moved their page down the ranks rapidly, and so they lost their usual growth.

With a blog its a lot less likely to happen.

thanks a lot man

Hey Sully!

There are many ways to promote WA or any other product or service for that matter. Like others have already said, you don't "need" to have one. There is nothing wrong with the way that you're promoting it - via FB @ Twitter. If it's effective then, by all means, become the expert in FB/Twitter marketing and don't look back.

As you continue to grow your business you can (and you should) add a website to help build your brand. Don't do it until you're ready though.

What's pretty common, here on WA, is building a niche-based, authority website/blog and driving traffic to it. The website is place to promote WA and any other products.

Websites aren't the only way to promote products & services but it is a very good method for developing your brand (sorry, that was a subject change on branding).

On the subject of promotions, since your question mentions "...to promote wa", here is a list of other promotional methods (in no order of importance). All require an investment (of either money or time or both).

* Social Media - FB, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc
* Banner Ads - PPC, CPM
* Solo Ads
* Joint Ventures
* Webinars
* Co-op marketing
* Reddit
* Videos - Youtube, Vimeo, etc.
* Email marketing
* Telemarketing - probably not high on anybody's list here, but it is a method.
* SEO

There are more but you get the idea. Hopefully, this helps a little.

The best method is the one you'll actually follow through on.

Good luck. Stay cool.

Hi Sully, If you have your own website and regularly provide useful content you can build your audience and ideally get your website visitors to keep coming back to you for more ... so you'll begin building relationships and trust. The proportion of people who visit your site and then sign up for WA will inevitably increase.

Best of luck!

You don't 'need' to have a website to promote WA to get people to sign up under you. I would advise creating one only if you decide to make this a major focus area. If you have already started a niche site then you should focus on that and promote WA on that site - make a page talking about how WA taught you and allowed you to start that business and then share that on social media or a direct link to sign up - whatever you decide to do.
It just depends on a lot of things. Like where you are in the training and how comfortable you are at maintaining more than one website.

well there are a lot but you would not know of them cus they are not worldwide and I am sure there are successful business without website where you are ,,,

like from where i am there is a corporate called daajan group ,, extremely successful without a proper website.

Sully,
You do not need to have a WA promoting website, it is just one way to go if you do not find a niche right away. You can use the bootcamp information on a regular niche website. Trying to work more than one website in the beginning will be a lot of work to keep up with. Hope this helps.

Sully,
It's always difficult to get started, because you want to get everything perfect, right ?
It is for that reason that we are advised to start off with something that we know about, because then at least we know what to say.
If you are starting off with promoting WA itself, then you will find a ton of good, relevant info in the training as well as blogs by other members. Just dont copy/paste it all "as is", ok ?
If you are talking about promoting a product of sorts to start off with, then try and find something you do know a little about.
Your about me page must however be "general" and not be specifically relevant to just one product or service you want to promote.
It must tell the visitor who you are, give some background info and specifically tell them you are there to help them.
It is also good to post a picture of yourself in there. because it serves to gain trust with your visitors.
Hope this helps a little.

many thanks

Write something about yourself, your readers will relate to you as long as you are being yourself. Also, you can always edit or update it as you progress.

This is the best article I found, some great tips in there. :) http://amylynnandrews.com/how-to-write-an-about-page/

Hey Sully don't sweat it.

Tell people about YOU and be honest. You can tell them your history and why now your choosing a new path. You can say you don't know everything but have already learned a lot and wish for your visitors to come along with you for the ride.

No big deal, no sweat - just roll with it bro.

I tried to add banners to my site by following the exact video that Kyle shared but it did not work
site Rubix > manage > dashboard > appearance > widgets > add text to primary

It seems you got a few answers on this one.
Hope you got sorted.
-Theuns

I sure did,, thanks

Also make sure you don't have an ad blocker on your browser, this can sometimes stop you seeing your own ads.

ooooohhhh ,,, GOD Bless you Kathy,,, you got it ,,I Paused the ad Blocker and boom ,,, there it was ,,,

Many thanks
Sully

Lol, you're welcome Sully, I made the same mistake myself!

Not all banners will work with a site Rubix site. Some of the WA banners will not work. Try other banners to see if they work. Try incognito mode of looking at your site.
John

I have my own Domain name it is not on site rubix

Sometimes if you happen to copy a space, like before or after the code, whatever is supposed to show up doesn't show up.

What type of widget did you use?

Are you sure that the Page Template has that particular sidebar? For example if you put the widget in a left sidebar on a certain page, but that page template is programmed to show only a right sidebar, you would change it to show a left sidebar so the widget would display.

Look at the dropdown on that widget and see that it is showing on the page you want it to show. For example, there are check boxes so you can select what pages that particular widget is to be shown on.

Make sure you copied the entire html code of your banner.

Make sure you are putting the code in a space large enough for the banner size.

Make sure you saved/updated or whatever the button at the bottom is.

log out and log back in to see if anything changed
