Now That I'm 50
So it seems the Universe has deemed me worthy to continue my journey!
I know...this image is a slight exaggeration. First off, I hardly ever wear red...
I had some major plans...mind-blowing...earth-shattering...I did none of them!!!
But that's OK...I have 365 days to celebrate being 50!!!
The week after, I did get to go to Chicago, Illinois for about a week. Granted, it was for a conference for an organization that I do volunteer work for, but still...I had never been to Chicago, so I was able to take in some site see...and my expenses were paid!!! I had a blast!
The Wisdom of a 50-year Old
Perhaps I can tie in what I've learned these 18,250+ days I've walked the earth to my online business. Away we go....
* Speaking of "go"...Elsa from the movie Frozen had it right...just let it go! What's the "it" you ask? Anything that's holding you back! Anything...anyone...any thought (especially this one)! Yeah I know, this is a hard one...can't say that I've mastered this quit yet, but it sure is fun getting there!
* Age is just number! I never understood why women would lie or conceal their age. I mean, if you're looking old and decrepit, then by all means...lie, lie, lie!!! Just kidding...remember I can say these things...I'm 50...
* Take your health seriously...and take serious care of your health.
* Don't take yourself or others too seriously. Chill out!!! LOLTIH (let's see who can figure that one out)!
* Keep it moving!!! Take a leap of faith...giant steps...baby steps...crawl...shuffle along ... take 5 steps backwards to move 2 steps forward..whatever! Just keep it moving!!!
* When you feel like grumbling about your situation, think abut what you're grateful for in your life. It's probably a lot more than you thought!
* Find something that brings you joy...then do it!
* Gandhi said it best, "Be the change you wish to see made in the world."
* Last, but certainly not least...have cake!!!
