A to Z Analogy: Dance
In my A to Z Analogy, I will take places, things and people and relate them to developing our online business. This is just for fun, but perhaps, you'll be able to see something from a different perspective.
Today's Analogy: D for Dance
I love to dance!!!
As I child, I took up ballet, jazz, and gymnastics; during my 20's, I used to go to a lot of the New York City clubs! I never got caught up in the drinking and smoking, because hearing the music was my drug! Seriously! Music almost put me in a trance and I would dance for hours! There were countless times when I was there until the DJ stopped playing music (that's late!).
One word that comes to mind when I think of dancing: freedom.
Your body is just one with the music, and if you're fortunate enough to find that great dancing partner (I had a few), then everything just flows. There are no restrictions...you just let your body move.
The Freedom to Express Yourself
If you have ever watched professional dance, you notice that very quickly, they have captivated you, you're no longer aware of your surroundings...you have entered their world.
Isn't that what we do with our online business?
Whether you Samba, waltz, tango, ballet, Kathak, hip hop, do the Hoki Pokie, or just do the 2-step, create the music you want to captivate your audience and just let your body (business) move to the beat.
As always, your comments are always appreciated. Go put on your dancing shoes and dance as if no one is watching! And always...
Strive to Thrive,
Veronica

You're right Veronica, dance for me has always been about a physical expression of joy.
When one is 'in the zone' so to speak it's almost as if one is channeling one's own personal brand of creativity from within.
I love your analogy. Our businesses will be far more fun and on point (excuse the pun) when we treat them with the same absence of resistance that occurs when we dance, no matter what type of dance it is.
That's a great analogy. The best time I had dancing was doing the Salsa with my daughter at her wedding. Although it was professionally choreographed, it was fun to learn and even more fun to do on that special day. it captivated everyone!!
I used to do ice dance. Even competed briefly, but my partner was more serious than I was. I did it for fun, not to win anything.
In my teens, when we had all those school dances, I never really participated. I was a very, very shy kid and was too self-conscious to dance in front of anyone.
Now, I dance regularly.
As I wrote in a previous blog, sitting in front of the computer all day isn't the best thing for you, so I try to get up once an hour and do a little dance.
Well, maybe "dance" is not the best term, ha ha! But it gets me moving at least! And it feels good.
