A to Z Analogy: Astronaut

Greetings and A wonderful New Year to You!

About a week ago, I left a comment on one of Frank's (FTurner8032) posts; I find him to be quite masterful in the art of looking at everyday items, and finding how they can relate to our training at Wealthy Affiliate. As I wrote my comment, I had an "Aha" moment and thought to come up with an Analogy Series, from A to Z. So...let us commence with our first:

Astronaut

By definition, an astronaut is one who is trained to travel in a spacecraft. Unless I missed something in the Premium Membership package, I don't foresee us having to put on any bulking spacesuits any time soon...

But, what would be another way to describe what astronauts do? Here's one: explore. Merriam's Webster Dictionary defines explore as: to look into or travel over thoroughly; to examine carefully.

Hmm...sounds a lot like what we do on this platform!

Many of us "traveled" the Internet, searching for the right vehicle that would allow us to learn and develop a legitimate online business. As we navigated our way around this "new frontier, we discovered unfamiliar and exciting things, and found ourselves incorporating words into our regular vocabulary like keywords, Search Engine Optimization, writing quality content, and keyword quality indicator, just to name a few.

What was once alien-like, has become something we would embrace and call familiar. How appropriate that on New Year's Day, the word "astronaut" would be the first word in this series. For many of us, we are venturing into the unknown, but very much like astronauts, we have been give the tools needed to have a successful journey. All we need do is pay attention to our "instruct's manual", follow the course of action (Certification, Bootcamp, webinars, etc.) and seek the guidance, instructions and encouragement of our fellow companions.
