struggling again
Hi there, needing some advice in the comments.
I want to review a product, a gourmet food basket I tried ages ago. I can't remember too much about it though except for the fact that everything was good. i remember a little about the packaging, but other than that I don't remember much else. How can I write a review this way?
Also, i don't have very many kitchen products i can review. i am on a low budget. While I am passionate about cooking, i had to buy a few things and stick to what i had because i didn't have lots of money to get nice things. What can I write reviews on after all of those are exhausted? I don't want my content to get stangant and redundant. that will hurt my rankings! how can I make them go up, anyhow?

First off big giant hugs! Take a deep breath in and let it out slowly. You’ve got this!
Most affiliates do not buy their products because we are all in the same boat. Especially when we are just starting out.
We research the products and read other people’s reviews, we then write our reviews based on our newly gained knowledge.
If you are not comfortable with that why not write your content based on the struggles you’ve faced trying to cook on a budget with the tools you have.
Or write reviews on items you’ve picked up at the dollar store, you can also garage sale shop and goodwill shopping is great. You’ll often find big name brands for next to nothing cost wise! No one needs to know if you bought brand new or not. Just write your reviews about the product itself.
Hang in there! You can do this and you are rocking it!
Believe me when I say that most affiliates don't buy the products they review - their reviews are based on (extensive) research.
So don't worry about buying the kitchen products. It helps to get human with your reviews, to not makes it sound standard/plain. Speak with confidence, even if you don't own the product. If you don't believe in what you say, no one else will.

I've been told I write killer reviews as they're unbiased and show both the good and the bad in a product. But Zarina is correct, I don't buy them - the first few reviews I did, were on products I actually own in the house, or use at work. But for the most part, I research. I don't just base my research on other reviews and manufacturer websites - I hit YouTube and watch videos that other people have done so I can actually "see" the fabric used or the plastic used, etc.
I also Google "Problems with XYZ" where XYZ is my product and model number. I also check other retail stores for customer reviews on the product I'm reviewing and I put all of that into my review. Honestly, it's like writing a research paper in University, but it's solid...
By the way, I also hit YouTube and search in forums - so it's not a standard, boring review rehashing what everyone else says.
Also, thanks for the great tip about "problems with xyz" Dave, I will be sure to use it as well!
You need to do research online if you don't have the knowledge already. i personally knew nothing about my niche when i started and learned it all as i am going.
thanks mate! so can some of the articles be opinion? like, say I do research online about a kitchen product or gourmet food via reading the customer reviews. Can I do something like offer my opinion on what i think sounds good and bad about aproduct?
Yes - that's what makes it YOUR review of the product. But don't just put something together on a whim and put little effort into it, as it'll show. For every single product review I've done, it takes DAYS of research. The product I'm currently reviewing, I've had my Word doc open for over a week and I keep coming back to it each day after I do more research to add a bit more to it.

Remember, there are other types of articles than reviews. You can also talk about techniques when cooking and using the items you mention. You could probably discuss different recipes that require those items to make. As you earn any commission, pour it back into the business. Please tell me you aren't just using Amazon as your sole merchant.
