The Early Spring
The early spring...
The old tree in front of my window
Indicating seasons,
Where bullfinches lived in winter
And nightingales in summer,
Has been chopped off.
I will miss nightingales' singing.

Very nice, Vera. Did they cut down the entire tree, or just prune back some of the limbs? :))
It's terrible , Rick. They chopped off all the branches, it looks like a casualty of war- I just didn't want to use strong vocabulary in my verse.
If you remember, I often wrote you about nightingales' singing behind my window last summer...I will be missing this so very much.(:
Awww, Maybe you can plant another tree for the birds or put up a bird house for them so you can still hear them singing.
Change is always hard and sometimes just plain traumatic...hang in there, Vera...some new birds will come and fill in very soon...
:((((((((((
Stupid people chopping off trees.
I miss a few great old trees that have been chopped off, so much good memories..and now the place looks ...empty..
I witnessed the whole forest being chopped off and wild animals were running like headless chickens to the city to find food and shelter. People's reaction - OMG foxes must be exterminated, fox madness disease hype and such.
First they destroy your home, then they hunt you down. People ....
No, it's just a picture, Mike. it was a big beautiful hawthorn tree. I was listening to nighingales the end of May through half June. I was almost crying when I saw it.:)
