Before the Rain
BEFORE THE RAIN
In pits among the clouds
There darkened empty cities
With very rare people in the streets
And far above the cities
there moved
this mass
of heavy rain.
In pits the beam of sun
There shone and glissed
While climbing shoulders of cities.
And climbing high fell down
in the dark,
frightened
of the moving waters.
These waters in the sky
Have gathered to rush down
And meet with waters of the rivers,
And whirl in one victorious dance
the pits, the clouds,
the boats
in the longing rivers
Find beauty in the world around.:)

Rain is fascinating! I could look at it for hour. Don't ask me why. In winter snowing. It's so nice to sit in the nice and warm living room, have a chimney fire and watch the snow fall.
Thanks Vera for sharing!
I love the rain.
Everything is renewed after the rain has fallen, that is as long as there was not endless rain!!!!!
A happy-medium amount of rain is happy making!
I love this post. Your rain images feel real and refreshing!

A pure refrain
washing earth of dross and pain
freshening the stain
renewing us again
Great post vera!
