How do I find good Jerky? That is the question. I'm not talking about a Jerk, there are plenty of those around. We definitely don't want to be noticed as a Jerk here on Wealthy Affiliate. So, please be careful about attitudes and let us be helpful to the community. I'm sure that would be a good "keyword" for search engines..How to be a Jerk?...LOL..Are do you Twerk? Just playing around here, but we do need to get serious with our social appearance. What is your Character?

We are talking about jerky, and I do talk more about Jerky on my website on topic "Cajun Land". Many years ago people hung meat out in the sun to let their meats cure and the meat was very good. The native americans were one of the first to use various types of meat, but their main meat product was buffalo. They used every part of the buffalo, the hyde, the horns, and meat. Be very careful buying your jerky in the stores, look at the ingredients.

There are many jerky products that have chemicals and additives that are not good for you. The jerky I'm affiliated with is a top quality premium jerky without additives and preservatives and is low on fat and high in protein. We grass feed our beef and buffalo and the meat has a very savory flavor.

The meat snacks in the stores are 90% all jerky. There are beef sticks and buffalo sticks and slab or patty type jerky as well. But be sure to examine the quality and the ingredients to be sure it is safe.

Jerky is a great snack. Home made jerky is a better snack. It's easy to make and then easy to find. lol

I found this post very interesting. You have a writing talent. Best of luck to you.

I'm not much for eating jerky, though I have ate some and liked it. My husbands family made venison jerky that was pretty good.

I must admit, I've NEVER had jerky.

You would love the jerky I got. I have buffalo jerky, and it is like a breakfast sausage with different flavors. It is not like the tough and chemical filled jerky in the stores. You can check it out here: http://super6power.com/victorcourville

Looking for good jerky?

Try South Africa for good measure, all game, sundried jerky.

The name "jerky" is not used much in South Africa, in South Africa , we call it "Biltong" and comes with several flavours, I am particularly partial to Piri-piri (cayenne pepper)

You can also get good "OSTRICH BILTONG"

Ostrich meat contains no cholesterol.

By the way, I have some good things about a Cajun style, seafood sausage I would not mind getting my teeth stuck into.

One day, when I make it big in IM I will visit the States and in particular New Orleans for its good food and jazz.

Very interesting!....I don't know about ostrich though..lol..you would enjoy some good Cajun food and culture.

You are certainly right about that! It can be a challenge to find jerky or any meat of quality! Of course grass fed hormone free is always best in quality and taste! Thank you for sharing this!

Thank You!

Thank you for sharing vcourville. Good grass fed jerkey. I like good healthy quality too in many ways.

Thanks ..Harold

I love jerky! I looked around in some (very) old cookbooks from my grandmother's time, and there are tons of recipes out there! Not a nitrate/sulfide in the bunch. Just good ole fashion flavors! Wish more companies would go natural.

Terry check out my blog on WA and you can find a link to my site for good healthy jerky. I also have write up about Cajun land and more interesting things. www.getaloan2day.com

Will do. Thanks ;)

Great information. You can tell right away when the jerky you get has chemicals in it. There is that after taste. Will check out your site.

Thank You!

Very interesting subject, here in Cyprus has the same product but not from Buffalo. But it is done with the same methods using the sun however here they use plenty of salts to preserve the product. it is cut up in small portions and served as a side dish when we drink cold beer in the summer. It is very chewy product and very tasty.

Thanks for the reply my friend.
