How To Get The Most From Social Media

Social media is one of the easiest and yet most powerful back links you can get to your site! No you didn't read that wrong it is not only the easiest backlink to obtain but it is the most powerful backlink you can have.
The way it works is simple, when Google's crawlers are out doing there thing one thing they always look for is signs of social activity. Have people been +1ing, liking, tweeting, Pinning or otherwise sharing it on a social media platform?
Google figures hey if people are sharing this than more people are probably going to find it interested. Google moves you up a bit and looks at you again in a day or two and says wow more people are sharing this and now people are leaving comments as well, I bet more people will want to read this and they keep moving you up and up as you receive more and more social backlinks and comments.
So maybe you are new to all of the internet marketing stuff and have not even begun to build your social groups as yet, well, that's okay because we all have to start somewhere but I do suggest you start as soon as possible because you can be growing your social networks and making friends while you are building your site and learning the IM trade.
awhile back I started a small Facebook group called Writers Secret Society (WSS) the way it works is people post their latest works be it a new street article or a new blog post in WA or on you own website, a YouTube video or whatever and the rest of the members in the group go look at it and if they like it they share it and comment on it.
This is a huge deal because it starts the social ball tolling on your new post or site right away, helping you move up in rank faster and gain more respect from Google. What I mean by Google respect is the more you publish that people respond to the more Google will rank your work. They know a good author when they see one and believe me they give favor to people they consider good authors.
WSS is now on the new Google Community platform and we are looking to grow our numbers. It's free to belong to the community and will remain so unless Google starts charging me to run the group lol.
We have only 3 basic rules which are be active, at very least before you post you need to +1 everything and keep all new stuff +1ed on a regular basis, and last but not least is no selling to the group. This last one is very important, it will get you banned from the group.
Keep in mind you do not have to share or social anything you don't like, in fact if you don't like it please don't share it. This group is about IMers sharing with other IMers and if there is a real interest then we give it the works.
