It's Fine, I'll Do It Later.(And a referral)
You'd think I'd have learnt my lesson by now, I know I'm not a seasoned warrior of the online world but even so, this was a rookie mistake. I even said 'It's fine, I'll do it later' in my head.
I am sure that part of the reason they use sand in those egg timers is due to 'them' being ironic, by that I mean because of the way sand just falls through your fingers and it's difficult to hold onto.
I know why this has happened and this is one level up on the 'daftometer'. Complacency, I'm telling you. You see a small window of opportunity open up and instead of standing back and erring on the side of caution, you dive on through.
Obviously, I wanted to finish what I started yesterday. 'Suck It Up Buttercup' required a 'Part II' and because I had a page of notes, I thought I would be able to smash that out 'rapido' and with time to spare.
Anyone remember that ? It was a late night program back before we had hundreds of channels to choose from. I can't quite remember if it was actually called 'Rapido' or 'Eurotrash' either way, it was an acquired taste.
Anyway, I digress (no surprises there). All was going according to a roughed out version of a plan. Morning routine still being adhered to and I had seamlessly slid into the afternoon ahead of the game.
I had dodged a morning 'Dad's Taxi' run so I was feeling ever so slightly smug. It was a compromise, I'll do 'one way' you choose which. They chose the lift home option, rather than the lift there. Sweet.
Rendezvous for set for 2pm. I had left the conversation at 'Text me when you're done and then I'll come and get you' but I had been assured that everything would be done and dusted by 2pm, guaranteed one hundred percent
Well, rather than me sticking to the prearranged plan, I thought I'd get there for bang on two o'clock. As I said, I was on a roll and time was being my best bud. I Pulled into the car park just as my phoned 'dinged'.
I was expecting a 'Just finishing' text, what I got was 'Can you pick me up at 2.40pm please'. In a split-second, the error of my ways became apparent and my 'time bank' made a couple of rapid withdrawals.
So, here we are, decidedly behind schedule. However, I am justified in changing the 'order of play' as to content creation within this post. I did say that it might go that way in yesterday's post. Actually I didn't, I've just checked and I made no mention of it in the slightest, not even a subtle hint. My bad.
Look, I'm not going to do it and that's final, we're already at 438 words and if I start back into the remaining three ways to get a following, this will turn into 'volume two' as opposed to 'part two'.
I shall bring proceedings to a close with some good news. I have had yet another referral. I say it like that because this is the second one in just over a month. More of a deluge then.
I will say no more than that at this stage of things, as it's early days. I will crack open the cordial only when both bio and picture are in place. Still, it's nice to know that our shop front is out there and being noticed.
I shall tie up loose ends tomorrow as now I need to move onto to some video work. That's something else I wanted to talk about but I'm still waiting for the 'nod' from Kyle. I'm sure I'm just being over cautious but in my mind it's the right way to do it. All in good time.
Meant to be getting a haircut as well, the 'mohawk' has lost it's definition and that will never do.
Fantabulous Friday will be over in a few hours and we'll be free falling into the weekend, I hope you're looking forward to it, I know I am.

Free falling into the weekend. After I check on my friend Twack here, and it's almost 10 PM, I'll be doing that too.
Giving ride to people- all kinds of plans and planning can get messed up. They finished their day and are relaxing the schedule. Your day is not completed, and you are digging in more inorder to accomplish what you can, at this later point in time and energy.
But it's also about a loved one who is more precious than any activities, yes?

So true, yes indeed. Everyhting falls by the wayside when it comes to our loved ones and schedules/plans most times fly out of the window.
Well, after falling, I have landed sweetly on Saturday morning and already begun the task. I love Saturday, it's like a bonus day with sparkles.

Happy 4th of July. Perhaps because there will be no fireworks, there will be no rain. Always big fireworks display brought rain, it will be interesting to see if no rain is induced with no fireworks. Hmm!?

Dear oh dear!! getting to know something is one thing, going against something that you have painfully acquired when previous experience has taught a lesson is another....convincing yourself that this time it won't for some reason hold true is quite frankly beyond the pale.....still, hope springs eternal I suppose lols!!
Surely the feeling smug bit should have at least informed on the inevitable....ha ha
OK so if I am up to speed, we still wait for the three others now where I have I heard that one before I wonder....sigh!!

I don't know about you only I have the Basmati nearly there for the spicy chicken to be shredded into it!!

I really must work on 'delivering' on time, tardiness isn't normally something I tolerate, I will work on doing better😉
As for 'knowing better', I agree with your last thought in that paragraph 'Hope springs eternal' though saying that, for the record, I was never any good on the 'One armed bandits'.

Lols I am still laughing on those first two...both as facts and analogy....intended to write in my first post to not beat yourself up about it as it happens to the best of us and especially those of us who are eternal optomists... we always manage to convince ourselves even with proven evidence presenting on many prior occasions the ruddy one arm bandits of a brood!! ha ha
On the real one arm bandits I don't think anyone is or is ever going to be or meant to be good...lols as far as I know they continue to be the most profitable niche for any casino go figure!! ;

It''s nearly at an end, weekend tomorrow which is always good. The funnny thing about those machines was that it was actually written on the front that they had a guaranteed 70% payout, yet everyone still played them.
Aw darn. Fresh cup of coffee and ready for volume two. Oh well, short and sweet is good too Twack. Cong, oh, never mind, I'll wait till its more or less official. Here's to you my friend.

A referral, that's amazing, congratulations on that.
I'm not sure what you're on about with the egg timer as I never had one but as you're talking about sand, it reminded me of a sandglass we had at home when I was a child. I loved turning it upside down.

Thank you Lenka, you too. Everyday is spectwacular here. You are right, that's what I was on about. It was an ill fitting analogy. Time slips through our fingers in the same way that sand does, if we're not careful.
Yes, the referrals always come as a pleasant surprise, yet to have one do more than sign-up but that's alright, it just means I'm getting closer to one that does.
