Slow But Steady Wins The Race!
Sometimes I feel like a tortoise. I feel like my progress along the path to the finish line is ever so slooooow.
I imagine that there are a number of you that feel the same way.
I would like to be moving along much faster toward the proverbial finish line but I'm just poking along.
Sometimes it seems like there is not enough hours in the day for me to work on my website projects. Sometimes I wake in the middle of the night and have to get up because my mind is racing along at lightspeed, and I feel like if I don't do something with all this mental energy it would be a waste.
So I will get up. Get to the keyboard and either start writing or researching my next topic to write on. Am I alone in this? How many of you have these kinds of experiences?
Here I am now, getting close to the six month mark here at Wealthy Affiliate. I had hoped to be further along, particularly in the "earned revenue" area.
I do have a couple of websites that are starting to look pretty good and they are starting to get some traffic! Woohoo! I know that it is traffic that is the key to our success here.
I can also say that I have begun to get some pretty good Google rankings for some of my keywords! YAAAAA! This tells me that I must be learning something!
I am also beginning to get a few referrals to WA!
So, here I am the proverbial tortoise, slowly, but continuously headed for the finish line! The small successes that I am seeing are feeding me like the midnight coffee. Keeping me going until the next page or post is finished. Because I know......
I know that Slow But Steady Wins The Race!
Keep working at it out there people! And drop me a line if you have the time!
Sincerely,
Tom

Keep on keeping on Tom, it will happen. And I know they are platitudes, but it really is true that every little step is a step closer. And have you thought of keeping a pen and paper at the side of your bed to write ideas down as they come to you? Much better for you than getting up and going to your laptop. You need to schedule rest into your day too as being tired will only affect you in other ways. We all want you to succeed so make sure to ask for help if you feel stuck or overwhelmed.
All the best moving forward :)
Thanks Jude .. You are right of course! I appreciate the good advice!
All the best to you!
Sincerely,
Tom
Great post. and steve is right, everybody but me is still paddling.
I am drowning, drowning, drowning.in over load.
But thats ok. I never quit.
Hi Tom, I am with you late into the night finishing off blogs or going comment fishing, or keyword research that just won't wait....
As long as we don't give up, patience is the key. And persistence. Everybody keeps saying it takes ages, I've only been going 2 months so far and i refuse to get impatient or disheartened but keep plugging along like a tortoise.
He won in the end right?
Cheers, Kris
I always perceive that our websites are like plants. We water them everyday (blogging) to keep it alive. Time is of essence waiting for our plant to become a tree. After some time of waiting patiently, our tree will bear sweet fruits forever as long as we keep it alive.

I feel the same way. Everything is coming slow for me right now. I am getting a little referrals and some of my keywords on the first page of google .I think most people start off slow and if they keep on, it will eventually become steady income. We have to hang it there until it happens. Thanks for sharing.
