Hi!
My name is Tom and I am excited to be here at WA!
I'm hoping to learn how to help others meet their goals of establishing a prosperous online business and in the process establish one for my family as well.
In today's changing world, it is more important than ever to diversify your income streams. Working a "clock punching" job may provide a certain level of stability, but, if you are like me, you have found that it just doesn't allow you to grow to your potential, or, allow you to have the freedom to manage your time so that you can pursue the more important things in life.
Spending time with your family for example. Being there to enjoy teaching your children, watching them grow. I feel like I have been robbed over the years of some of the most important times in my family's life. Times that I will never be able to recover, simply because I have traded my time for a paycheck.
I see these same things now happening to my children as they are raising their children. The days slip by. Both them and I consumed with the day to day requirements of life in our modern world.
Each day comes with a cost, measurable in dollars, for our meager existence. The mortgage, car payments, insurance, credit cards, and a vast array of other expenses that I am sure you can relate to.
With all these burdens on our financial lives, to spend our most precious of resources, our time, trading it, for what someone else believes our time is worth, is ludicrous, and a battle we are sure to lose.
I have heard it said that you can never become wealthy trading your time for money. Put another way I recently read "the monkey dances for coins". I am tired of being the monkey scraping by on the scraps that are thrown to me.
I bet you feel the same way.
That's why we are here! At Wealthy Affiliate! Working toward a better way to secure a path for ourselves and our families.
I'm hoping to learn how to help others meet their goals of establishing a prosperous online business and in the process establish one for my family as well.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile!
I would be very interested in your perspective of what I have written here.
Please feel free to send me a line or two, or contact me if you think I can be of any help to you.
I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors!
Sincerely,
Tom
PS. If you have the time, could you please check out my websites listed in the panel to the right and leave a comment on the website? I would really appreciate it! Good luck to you !

I have really learned a lot here, and, even though I have had a few setbacks, Wealthy Affiliate is working for me! I have been implementing what I have learned in the lessons and it is generating some revenue!
One of my previously stated goals was to "learn to help others meet their goals of establishing a prosperous online business." I'm still working toward that goal. Becoming proficient with the tools of the trade here will definitely be a huge help!
Many thanks to all those that have helped me along the way and to those that are new here, if I can be of any help, please don't hesitate to ask!
I wish you all great success and prosperity!
Sincerely,
Tom

These are great goals and you can achieve them with action on your part. Begin your training and as you gain a clearer perspective on this business, you can begin to fine-tune your goals and better understand what to do each day to make it happen. I have written a couple of blogs that can help you get started and to develop your goal further. Dave. Thank You For Following Me. Where Do I Start? Hi Tom. Love your profile.
Following are COMMENTS I wrote on Steve's post on your civilsociety site. (I seem to have a problem with 'javascript and cookies'. I will transfer comments when i have resolved that problem. You may respond then.)
>>
Thank you Steve for sharing this post ('Escaping...). Thanks Tom for hosting it. Below are my first impressions (thoughts).
The post, Tom's remarks and Dr Deb's comments, in my mind lead to the question we need to ask ourselves, and our educators, i.e., "Are we teaching our students on 'HOW TO THINK?'.
I'll re-visit and digest this and some other posts. I believe I've found a great resource to help me understand civility, what is civil society, and what outcomes to expect of our educators. Thanks again. >>

Greetings!
Thank you for the follow, and for your comments regarding Steve's post on TheCivilVoice.com!
I hope that you will be able to post your comment there! Let me know If I can be of any help.
I wonder the same thing > " Are we teaching our students hot to think?"
I fear that we are NOT. Since now they need a safe space anytime they are confronted with an idea that may be contrary to what they already know. Critical thinking is likely not on the agenda of the liberal establishment. They want more sheep, not more leaders.. Just my opinion.
Open discussion of differing opinions is how we learn and grow. Without it, education is just preaching.
All the best to you!
Sincerely,
Tom

Ya know ! it's not easy sometimes. I'm actually going to the roughest time of my life now. I will fight to resolve everything. I do know the why's and have certainty to why I am here . This is very important to know. It is the same for you.
Like you i guess we just need to move on. I also quess that it is very important to the " WHY " we are doing this and have this certainty that should go with it. I realize i am repeating myself. Discover "WHY" you are doing this and have tremendous "CERTAINTY" and that will bring you to succeed in what we here all wish to do or to have. If I can I will follow you too. I truly wish you succeed in what you are doing. It may take time at least that's what I think for me because I don't even really know how an iphone works. I do know the "WHY'S "and just for these "WHY'S" I am able to have this "CERTAINTY" therefore continue towards my goal and eventually succeed.;
Thank you the follow. All the luck to you..

Hello Tom, so first off I would like to thank you for the follow, and secondly I really liked your profile as it all is so true! I started this with hopes of getting my wife away from a job that is taking a toll on her well being. I guess we're all getting older and it's harder to pull the cart than it used to be! I hope all your wishes come true as I know our time on earth is limited, and we all want to spend time with family.Good Luck My Friend.....Bob

Hi Tom! I really enjoyed reading your bio. It really resonated with me. The whole thing about dancing monkeys hoping to get a few coins is so true. But more than that, the way we live tied to all those "necessary" monthly payments. I live very frugally and I sometimes wonder if other people could let go of the things they think they need. People tend to want more... not less. It's hard to downsize once you've reached a certain level, but I feel a lot more people are going to have to do it anyway in the near future. It's just the way things are.
Best of luck with all you do.
Javier

Greetings Javier!
Nice to meet you sir! I believe it it part of our culture to try to have at least one of everything. Many of us are very spoiled with the conveniences of modern life. As I look around me now I have a room full of stuff I really don't need. These things just take up space. There is some stuff over there that I haven't touched since I put it there ..... What value is that stuff to me really! But I digress.. You got me going on that one :)
Thank you for following me! I hope that you find great success with your endeavors here at WA! And I hope that you find good health and peace regarding your personal situation!
All the best to you!
Sincerely,
Tom
