Yoast can make you feel good!
So, I finally made the decision to change back to Yoast. There have been quite a few posts lately that sang praises to Yoast, so I decided to give it a try again. When I first installed it, I had very little experience and understanding about creating posts/pages, so all of the additional information was very overwhelming. I've learned a lot since then, and Yoast is an amazing SEO.
Now, I'm no SEO expert. I'm sure many of you have already gathered that information with some of the questions I've asked. However, I've found 1 particular thing about Yoast that is really helpful. The visual aids that they use to help you determine that your post is likely to do well.
After installing it, I went back to my previous posts and made some recommended changes. As I watched all of my red flags turn green, I felt really good about my progress. It is very encouraging to know that your post/page is now meeting the standard recommendations to get ranked.
Of course, I wasn't able to fix everything. Changing Readability after you've written the entire post, without rewriting everything, can be challenging. However, now I have a better idea of what they are looking for.
Anyway, I would definitely recommend Yoast for the new people. It gives great guidance on creating an effective post. It can really help keep you from wasting time and wondering if the post will rank based on what you've done.
If you're using Yoast, share your experiences so that others can have a better idea of the many benefits. If you have anything negative to share about Yoast, I would definitely like to hear that too. Thanks.
Tomeika.

I keep hearing good things about toast but I'm unlear if its just a program you download to your computer or to your site as a plugin . I'm the kind of person that needs it broke down Barney style.
Yoast SEO will replace the All in One (AIO) SEO. Look in the plug in section and then search for it and download it, if you don't see it there already. When you activate it, make sure you transfer all the settings, it will ask if you want to do it. Then deactivate AIO. It has some really helpful features for writing posts/pages. Their suggestions will help to improve your rankings and readability of the post, if you choose to follow them. You don't have to do what they say, but Yoast provides guidelines. When you create a new post or go back to an old one, you will see the recommendations at the bottom of the page, just scroll down. Systematically follow what they say you need to fix, until the red dots turn green. Like I said, you don't have to do those things. You can still publish if you don't have all green dots, but it helps if you do. Yoast website also gives more information, but that stuff is too advanced for me. I'm sure it has other great features, but that's all I can appreciate right now, based on my limited knowledge of SEO. Lastly, if you don't like Yoast, you can always go back to AIO. Good luck! Thanks.
I got it after I had already done a few of my pages. So I had to go back over those using it. I had a few frustrating hours trying to fix things, but finally I got it! It is both a blessing and a curse! lol Sometimes I just can't find a way to make a sentence Active, and not passive. If I am talking about something from the past, especially! So some sentences I let go. But I always manage to get each factor in recommended level and get the green light!
I couldn't agree more. It can drive you crazy trying to change everything, so you just have to know when to quit.
